Shark Tank’s Squatty Potty Launches At HSN

We all know the best conversations stem from the kitchen table however for Judy Edwards it was the best idea.

As a busy mother struggling with colon issues for years, Edwards had tried everything. After being told by her therapist to simply get her knees above her waist while sitting to use the bathroom, she took the advice home and tried it. Edwards soon realized no regular stool was properly designed for the task.

In 2010 Edwards took matters into her own hands and developed a stool that actually worked, the first ever Squatty Potty Toilet Stool. First made from wood in her garage, she built a stool that gently raised the knees above the hips, forcing a natural squat. She built a stool that worked for her and soon after started giving them out as gifts. Her family and friends claimed an almost instant health benefit and Edwards soon realized she needed to share her invention with the rest of the world.

Edwards and her son Bobby appeared on Shark Tank in 2014, followed by the follow up series to Shark Tank, Beyond the Tank. In 2015 the Squatty Potty was showcased on the Doctor OZ show. The Squatty Potty is 1st level FDA approved as an elimination aide, endorsed by numerous Gastroenterologists. The stool proves to reduce strain by allowing you to relax your puborectalis muscle, in return unkinking your colon.

“We want to teach people that the squatting is the healthiest way to eliminate waste. We want people to enjoy the benefits of using the Squatty Potty consistently for proper colon maintenance. Our motto: We want to change the way America poops one stool at a time,” told Edwards.
