Cook Time: 10 min.

Ingredients:

3 cups diced raw salmon fillets (about 1-½ pounds)

3 cups diced hot-smoked salmon (about ¾ pound)

½ cup (14 g) chopped fresh chives

¼ cup (48 g) Dijon mustard

2 eggs

2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill

To taste: salt

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients to Bowl of KitchenAid® Artisan Stand Mixer. Attach Bowl and Flat Beater to Mixer. Turn to Speed 1 and mix 2 minutes or until just combined. Shape mixture into 3-1/2-ounce patties.
  2. Heat large skillet over high heat. Cook patties, in batches, 3 to 5 minutes on each side for medium rare.

 Chef’s Tips:

Check the saltiness of the smoked salmon before adding additional salt to the mixture.

Serve patties topped with arugula on a bagel or burger bun spread with whipped dill cream cheese or additional mustard.

If hot-smoked salmon is not available substitute additional diced raw salmon.
