Spring Cleaning: Sometimes It’s Just the Little Things

We live in a busy hectic world and the amount of balls we are juggling can almost feel like there isn’t enough time in the day to get everything done. This feeling is a common one and while I don’t have a fix-all solution, I have found that keeping our home as organized as possible helps lessen daily stress. There are a few habits that I have built into my routine that have helped me keep my space clean, lessening the chaos and keeping it a place of comfort.

  1. Organizing your space often times just means getting stuff out of sight, the easiest way to do this is by clearing off our counters and floors. I like to utilize the bottom shelves of our Origami rack by sorting items into baskets and bins.

2. Living in a household of 2 adults and 4 kiddos we produce a lot of laundry, a lot of times these items end up discarded all over the house. A simple way to clean up your space is by taking a quick walk around each room and collecting all of those items in your laundry basket. This can be something you do yourself or if you have littles, it can be a fun timed game you play to help get them involved with the family chores.

3. We don’t always have the time to do a deep clean, when that’s the case a quick scrub with the Earth Bright Pumix Stone Hard-Water Stain Removers and a powerful all natural cleaner like Krud Kutter will give your stove, counters, backsplash and tiles a clean fresh look with very little effort involved. On top of being an all natural product, I love that it can be used on almost all surfaces and it’s safe to have around your children and pets.

4. The last habit is the easiest, have everyone make their bed in the morning. A made bed automatically makes a room feel more put together and clean. I love to change my bedding for every season to keep our decor fresh. I love this quilt set for spring!
