As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, and so we reluctantly say goodbye to summer. The pool toys are getting packed away and the beach vacation photos are being filed, but the transition to fall doesn’t’ have to be that painful. I love looking forward to football parties, cooler weather, and dare I say, pumpkin spice anyone? So if you’re sending big kids off to college, making the little ones’ first school lunches or getting yourself into a manageable work routine, read on for tips to get back to…fabulous.
Food for Thought
Meal prep and planning is a huge time saver when it comes to establishing or getting back into the swing of things in the kitchen. Stocking up on quality tools will help everyone on your list be a culinary superstar, even if it’s just mastering a mean green smoothie. How fun is this digital blender from DASH? I love the retro flair design (available in six colors) and all the modern technology is built right in. Puree sauces, crush ice for snow cones or craft the perfect juice with just the touch of a button. Bonus: Tasty recipes like berry blender sorbet and fantastic fall butternut squash soup are included with purchase so you don’t have to waste time searching for an impressive recipe. Score!
Saving time is one thing but did you know you can also save calories with an air fryer? Whip up healthier for them treats that eliminate the use of oil for delicious crispy fried foods. I am partial to the bright coral color and I love that for under 50 bucks this make a great gift for students! It even turns itself off after you set the time and temperature so there’s no worry about burning dinner.
If you’re going to have to cook dinner, why not make it snappy? This 4 quart pressure cooker from Elite Bistro transforms food 60-70 percent faster than the traditional way. I love that it can also be used as a steamer and a slow cooker, so there’s no need for all three appliances taking up space in the kitchen. Full rack of ribs in an hour? Sure! Dessert in ten minutes? No problem! With a little practice, the major convenience factor of this tool will practically pay for itself.
Routine Ready
You keep track of everyone else, why not let something keep track of you? Modernize your health and fitness routine more easily with a Fitbit Alta HR. This sleek version monitors everything from sleep patterns to calories burned so it’s perfect for that little extra boost of healthy motivation. Going from the gym to date night? Easy, just change the band.
If summer is ending, at least you can listen to the sounds of the season with some trendy wireless headphones from Beats Solo3. I love that it comes in seven unique colors (hello rose gold) and with the new included RemoteTalk cable making hands free calls is a breeze. Margaritaville. On. Repeat.

With the HP printer……how long will the ink last in the printer if not used alot?
My newly purchased printer is not eligible for the Instant Ink plan. This free afire was heavily advertised during the promotion, and I thought that this would eliminate the frequent ink purchase. When I tried to enroll in the HP Instant Ink plan, my series 5000/5100 printer was not eligible. The error message instructs me to “add an eligible printer…” HSN promoted this product as an eligible printer.
Is there any recourse to this unfortunate and disappointing experience?
