This holiday season delight your loved ones with season’s greetings that not only wish them well, but also bear a handmade ornament to remember you by. Below you’ll find supplies and instructions for a beautiful holiday card with a removable gift box ornament.
Supplies:
Christmas or Holiday themed double sided patterned paper
1 sheet white cardstock (8 ½ x 11 inches)

Instructions:
Gift Box Ornament Card
Trim the 8 ½ x 11 sheet of white cardstock to 8 ½ x 5 ½ inches make your card. Score down the middle and fold it in half.
Trim a piece of blue poinsettia patterned paper to 4 x 5 ¼ inches and adhered it to the front of the card.
Trim a piece of red buffalo check patterned paper to 3 ½ x 4 ¾ inches and adhered it on top of the blue paper. (Use foam squares if you’d like some extra dimension.)
To make the gift box ornament, trim a piece of red and white striped paper to 3 x 3 ¼ inches. Trim a strip of green paper to 1 x 3 inches and adhere it to the top of the striped paper.
Using the Ribbon Cutter, cut a 3 ¼ length of light green ribbon and adhere it down the center of the “gift box” with double sided tape. (Tip: place the double sided tape down on the “gift box” first, then stretch the ribbon over it and adhere it in place so it’s straight.)
Make a gift bow from red wire with the Happy Jig tool. You can find a template below.
Your gift bow will have a paper clip at the bottom for attaching to the gift box ornament, and a hook at the top for hanging on the tree. Adhere the gift bow paper clip to the back of the gift box ornament using hot glue.
Trim a tag or sentiment from your patterned paper, punch a hole in the top, and tie it to the gift bow with baker’s twine from the Ribbon Cutter Bundle. Embellish the tag with a little bling.
Cut out a Santa image or another holiday icon, or add a holiday sticker at the top of the card. Adhere the gift box ornament to the card with repositionable adhesive so that it overlaps the sticker/icon. (Tip: place the repositionable adhesive on the card front and not the back of the ornament so the ornament isn’t sticky when removed from the card.)
