Trend to Try: Natural Wonders

Let’s talk transitional fashion trends! The flip-flops are finding a shady spot in your closet and the fall staples are starting to see the light of day again. Adding some fresh style for the early fall months can be a little daunting but testing the fashion waters with a splash of neutral can be just the thing you need to be up to date on trends.

Neutral as the New Black

Ponchos are great pieces to have during transitional months. The shape of this version from WynneLayers screams fall but the creamy color in canvas and the airy look and feel of the fabric makes it the perfect pullover.  This look is great because if you’re like me and you live in a warmer climate when August is still a little balmy, you’ll appreciate the breezy appeal of this poncho.

The top looks fab over your favorite pair of skinny jeans but to change up the look, try it with something totally unexpected like these comfortable cropped pants from Marla Wynne. There are three colors to choose from in the hammered satin material(I’m partial to the olive gray color) with just the right amount of utility details. Think about it like chic upgrade to cargo pants!

For accessories, this look would be elevated with a fun tassel necklace with natural stone or metal elements like gold and turquoise. Complete the ensemble with metallic mules for brunch or chunky heels for date night.

Naturally Beautiful for Work

Get ready to get complimented because this dress from Marla Wynne is the fall powerhouse piece every woman should have in her closet. The tie-front detail makes it interesting while the matte jersey material feels like you’re wrapped in fashion comfort. Although this dress is gorgeous in all five color options, I love the sage green version! Typically green would not be considered a neutral per-say but the muted sage tint makes it feel like a day at the spa(even when you’re stuck at the office).

Pair this dress with calming natural hues like tan and cream for a classy pulled together style that not’s too stiff. A leather handbag with just the right amount of on trend boho details and some classic nude pumps really takes this look from boring to breathtaking.

Don’t forget about the arm candy! Try out an adjustable wrap bracelet like this one from Nakamol that perfectly pairs funky and fashion forward with turquoise and metallic tones. Neutral doesn’t have to be bland!
