Have you heard of Texture Magic? Magic puckers is a cool new product that makes surface textures fast and easy! To achieve this mocked-smocking look, all you need is a straight stitch sewing machine, a piece of material, a good steam iron and some Magic Pucker cloth. It’s as easy as 1-2-3–

1. Size out your fabric

First you’ll want to determine how you plan to use the Magic Puckers and then increase the size of your project’s piece by 30% to allow for the shrinkage. Cut a piece of Magic Puckers the same size as your fabric.

2. Straight Stitching is Easy!

Then, Join the two pieces together by stitching a grid using a parallel foot or a quilting guide. Be sure not to place the Magic Pucker fabric on the wrong side of the material.
