Thanksgiving, a time for sharing

Hi to all of the friends!
Happy November! Before I get into what my next show is bringing your way I’d like to share homespun, holiday recipe handed down to me from my grandmother “Briggs”. A tradition at the Daus family Thanksgiving table, I’ve been making this for a million years, and never with a recipe in front of me. I must confess this is the way I cook, “a little of this, a little of that” So try and make sense of my instructions below!
My grandmother “Briggs” Turnip Fluff Recipe
1 large turnip
1 large onion
1 pint of heavy cream
1 T Cream Of Wheat
1 stick of butter
2 eggs
Peel and cube turnip and throw it in boiling water until soft, meanwhile I melt the butter and sauté the onion until translucent. Drain turnips and get out my handy-dandy blender and start blending batches of cooked turnip, melted butter and onion, egg and heavy cream and sprinkle in Cream Of Wheat, Blend until light and fluffy like whipped cream. Pour in buttered soufflé dish and cook in preheated 350-degree oven for 35 minutes. This is SOOOOO Yummmy! Enjoy!
November 6th begins the first of many shows leading up to the holidays. I will be rolling out 60 PLUS designs, many of them brand new! There will be many pins and brooches in this offering and I think the make the perfect gifts. I’ve got brand new designs in necklaces to show you that you’ll just HAVE to have for your holiday parties as well.
I’ll be in Florida for Thanksgiving and on HSN on Sunday November 25th! Of course I will have the whole family in tow and we will enjoy the traditional family dinner with a tropical spin… poolside with a little fun in the sun! It doesn’t matter where you are, as long as you are with the ones you love. See you on the air my friends, but in the meantime have a blessed holiday!
Much love,
Heidi xoxo
