Three Valentine’s Day Edible Beauty Recipes You’ll Crave!

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it’s time to pamper yourself for a smooth, glowing completion and kissable lips before date night! And okay, do we really even need a holiday to spark some pampering in our lives? I vote to create an at home pampering spa in the comfort of your own bathroom… just because!

With only a few ingredients from your kitchen, you’ll have a honey sugar lip scrub for kissable lips, a salt scrub for smooth skin and a honey face mask for a glowing complexion! The upside? It’s all made with COMPLETELY edible ingredients, meaning better for you as well.

Ready to get your spa mixology on? Gather up the goods and let’s get to mixing!

Honey Sugar Lip Scrub

  • 2 teaspoons sugar (you can use pretty much any sugar: raw sugar, brown sugar, regular sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt (I used Golden Door Spicy Serrano Salt to naturally ‘plump’ lips)

Coffee might be your favorite morning companion, but its benefits are more than just a caffeinated boost. Caffeine also has several properties that are good for your skin, and between skin exfoliating, softening and reducing cellulite, it’s a great addition to a DIY body scrub.

Mix this concoction up and take it into the shower for smoother, exfoliated skin!

Salted Coffee Body Scrub

Only three simple ingredients from the kitchen will give you naturally plumped and smoothed lips! Just mix together and rub over lips to exfoliate. Follow with a moisturizer and you’ll be ready for that long-wearing lipstick for all night kisses.

Honey Face Mask

  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • A dash of cinnamon

Whip up an exfoliating honey face mask for a glowing complexion! The honey cleanses pores, nourishes the skin and calms, while the baking soda exfoliates, removing blackheads and dead skin cells. Cinnamon is also rich in skin protecting antioxidants which not only protect the skin from damage, but there have been studies that show it can stimulate the production of collagen when applied topically.

Massage onto skin in a circular motion. Rinse after 15-20 minutes.
