Ingredients:
1 cup dried chickpeas, soaked overnight
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander
1/2 white onion, diced
3 cloves garlic
1/4 bunch parsley
1/4 bunch mint
1/4 bunch cilantro
1 1/2 tbsp AP flour
2″ of oil for frying
Method:
Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor and blitz until a smooth paste is formed. In your KitchenHQ 4.5Q Cast-Iron Fryer, heat a neutral oil (vegetable or canola) to 350 degrees, and make sure there’s enough to come up about 2″ high. Next, use your KitchenHQ ice-cream scoops to form 18 – 20 even balls. Drop the falafel balls into the oil and fry for 4 – 6 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Serve with hummus, pita bread, tomatoes, lettuce, tahini, and hot sauce. Enjoy!
