Step Up To Fitbit Challenges with Your Favorite HSN Hosts and Find 4 New Ways To Stay Active in 2016

Nothing like a little friendly competition to motivate our workouts, right? On Tuesday, Jan. 6th six of your favorite HSN hosts–Amy Morrison, Suzanne Runyan, Shivan Sarna, Robin Wall, Callie Northagen and Lori Leland–will square off against one another for Fitbit challenges! Help us cheer them on at every step and learn some fun new ways to stay in shape too!

It’s one thing to feel the burn after a great workout but isn’t it satisfying to be able to actually track it too? Our HSN Hosts will utilize the awesome abilities of their Fitbits to participate in the Workweek Hustle Challenge, Daily Showdown Challenge, and Weekend Warrior Challenge. The Fitbit Charge Wristband Activity and Sleep Tracker will tell us not just how long  each individual worked out, but how hard they went during the workout. With premium stats on steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, floors climbed and active minutes, the Fitbit is our new best friend for getting in shape this year.

The secret to staying active is to find different workouts that you will LOVE to do. Kick start your 2016 fitness resolutions with a Fitbit by trying some of these fun and easy workout ideas!

1. Interval Walks

Interval Walks

Not much of a runner? No sweat! We don’t have to be pounding the pavement to burn calories and get in shape. Interval walking combines periods of high-intensity–like speed walking–with resting periods. We can walk our way to better health from the comfort of our home with the help of a treadmill or log a quick session outside on our lunch breaks.

2. Trampoline Jumps

Trampoline Jumps

Need a new way to put the bounce back in your workout routine? A mini trampoline might be just your fit! Jumping on a trampoline, or a rebounder as they’re sometimes called, can help us to tighten and tone our torsos and lower bodies. It’s also a dynamic form of cardio that’s sure to get us sweating and burn calories!

3. Hulahooping

Hulahooping

Now here is a workout that takes us down memory lane: hula hooping. Even if you didn’t own a hula hoop as a child, you likely knew someone who did. But we’ll bet you didn’t realize you had a seriously great piece of fitness equipment on your hands. Hula hooping can be used to tone our arms, legs, glutes, abdominals and help us stretch, all while our inner-child gets a chance to play!

4. Planks

Planks

Stumped on how to stay in shape without the help of any extra equipment? Planks are the answer! Planks are an exercise that utilizes our own body weight to strengthen and tone our muscles. Depending on the type of plank it can further target our core, arms, shoulders, and glutes. Super simple and easy to do anywhere!

Of course, you should always check with your doctor or healthcare practitioner before starting a new exercise routine to make sure it’s going to be the best option for you.
