Have you ever wished for a more unique way to say send a Thank You card? To celebrate National Craft Month, learn a new way to show your appreciation for the special people in your life with a personalized foil photo card. Using my Foil-Stamped Card Layers, follow this tutorial that will show you how to turn memories you’ll never forget into a very special card that the recipient will always want to keep too.
What you’ll need:
- Foil-Stamped Card Layers
- A ruler
- A craft knife
- Foam adhesive
- Glue or craft tape
- Selected embellishments
1. Choose Your Base and Frame
Of the layers in the Foil-Stamped Card Layers kit pick two layers of the same color. We’ll be making a window out of one of the layers to make the photo card.
2. Create the Frame
On your chosen layer, use a craft knife and a ruler to cut away the outside and the inside of the card so you will be left with only the decorative frame. Since the design can dictate our cutting we don’t have to measure or trace an edge first.
3. Place The Photo
Using your chosen card base you will paste your photograph onto the surface. You should size your photo to fit the frame or be ready to cut it down to the frame’s size.
4. Set The Frame
Taking the frame we’ve already cut out now we’ll add little squares of foam adhesive to its back. The foam adhesive will give the frame dimension. Once you’re ready apply the frame over the photograph.
5. Add Embellishments
Selecting your favorite embellishments like ribbon, gem stones, or the Anna Griffin® Antique Botanical Die-Cut Collection to give the foil photo card some shining finishing touches!
Which of your favorite Anna Griffin embellishments would you add to this Foil Photo card?
