The lights of Las Vegas were sparkling even brighter this past weekend as jewelry insiders gathered at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino for North America’s premiere jewelry event! I’ve been visiting this show for the past 10 years and I have to admit – it never disappoints. There’s nothing more fun than catching up with old friends, meeting new ones and experiencing the Creme de la Creme the jewelry world has to offer. Jewelry Designers, manufactures and exhibitors from all over the world Wowed us with awe inspiring jewelry.

Trend 1: Stack The Deck!
If you love the “more is more” approach to wearing jewelry – the odds are in your favor! We saw stacks of bracelets and rings at every turn. With “bracelet length” sleeves becoming more and more popular in fashion – glittering wrist candy is a must for finishing your look. Robert Manse showed us stunning new cuff designs in sterling silver, 18 Karat gold and gemstones…Take your pick!

Trend 2: Cue The Confetti
If you’re a girl who isn’t afraid to wear color, it’s time to celebrate! With an uptick in the economy, jewelry lovers and designers are feeling optimistic and ready to invest in vibrant colored gemstones! Top jewelry houses were showing the most dazzling, playful color combinations that really stole the show! Pop the corks, cue the confetti and color your world with gems!
Andrew Stone, president of Himalayan Gems, showed us brilliant colors of gemstones from Nepal and Jaipur.

Some of the top stars at this year’s event were glamorurs, luminous, effervescent Pearls!!! Women who love the classics will always gravitate toward pearls, but todays huge jumbo pearls and stunning colors are jaw-droppingly gorgeous. We saw breathtaking pearls in all sizes and colors – whether you decide on one long luxurious strand or layers of luxe elegance, pearls take center stage!

Trend 4: Royal Flush
Jewelry designers are inspired by the royals this year and are bringing us exquisite designs of regal oppulence! The majestic beauty of princess style jewelry was omnipresent throughout the JCK event. Look for rich royal colors of Ruby, Emeralds, Sapphires and Tanzanite – Jewelry fit for a Queen!
