4 Outfits That Nail The Summer Festival Look

4 Outfits That Nail The Summer Festival Look

Tune in every Thursday at 9PM ET for The List with Colleen Lopez and join us on Pinterest to pin along with fashion stylist Dree Harper!

The flower-child era is alive and well with its readaptation as the summer fashion for festival outfits. It doesn’t really matter whether the festival we’re attending is based in music, art, or a community foodie event as long as it allows us to sport these folky threads out under the sun. Here are 4 woodstock-inspired outfits that we can rock with a grown-up sense of style.

1. Fairgrounds Fringe

Lyric Culture

In life we should always take the time to stop and smell the flowers, so to speak. With this summer festival look from Lyric Culture we get to bring the florals with us. This beautiful kimono-esque Fringe Piano Shawl is perfect for lightweight coverage on a day spent outdoors. Layer this shawl with the loose-fitting Lace Inset Peasant Blouse to keep the outfit breezy and stylish. A pop of turqoise in the form of this Multi-Charm Necklace is a great way to accent the colorful flowers of this outfit too.

2. A Tie-Dye For Maxi

Tie-Dye Embellished Maxi Dress

Long, loose peasant dresses with homemade accents were a trademark of the 1960’s hippie fashion. Our current take on this style is a more manicured maxi dress. The bright rainbow tie-dye style of the hippie culture  is transformed into a relaxed two-tone pattern with this Tie-Dye Embellished Maxi Dress with a jeweled v-neck. Give this sweeping look some rustic accents like these Minnetonka Double Fringe Suede Boots. The natural look of these boots is a great way to ground the outfit for casual wear, and, bonus, they will be super comfortable for long periods of walking and standing.

3. Peace and Lace

Lace Poncho with Fringe

White is always the color of the summer but paired with lace it’s even better for that carefree and cool festival look. Try this Lace Poncho with Fringe that flatters our figures with its light drape. The cut of a poncho is perfect for staying comfortable while moving and grooving in a crowd. We’re pairing this top with the SuperStretch Bell-Bottom Jean. The wash of this denim looks so fresh with the white lace, and the cut has just enough flair to give us that retro feeling. Grab a bag like the Carlos Falchi Fringe Crossbody to stash all of your essentials in for the day.

4. Golden Grit

Patched Stretch Skinny Jeans

When we need a festival outfit that’s about functionality and style we can always fall back on a great pair of skinny jeans and a printed tee. These Patched Stretch Skinny Jeans pump up the personality of this look with printed fabric patches featuring phrases like “love to live, live to love” and other cultural sentiments. Put your outfit more into perspective with these purple-tone Round Sunglasses that come with a convenient little carrying tote.
