As much as we all love sitting by the pool (or beach!) to catch some rays, extensive amounts of time in the sun can be very damaging to our skin!
Now I know what you’re thinking.
“Greeeaaaaaattt, you’re about to talk about another self-tanning product that is probably going to leave me orange, sticky, get my clothes dirty, and smell!”
While I understand your hesitation (I’ve been there too!), I wanted to introduce you to the way I’ve been able to achieve the perfect faux tan year round, without the cons of typical self tanners!
Step One: Use the Treets Traditions Relaxing Chakras Body Scrub in the shower. Take the provided scooper to get out a tablespoon from the jar and use all over your body (applying more scrub as needed).
This will help to exfoliate your skin and get your body ready for a golden glow!
The scent I use is the rose and coconut oil (which smells incredible!) but there are also other amazing ones such as shea butter + baobab oil, rosemary + grapeseed oil, volcanic minerals + eucalyptus oil, and more!
Step Two: While you’re still in the shower, use the Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Exfoliant on your face. Rub it into your skin for about 1-2 minutes and then rinse it off. This will help you start on a fresh and clean slate for the face tanning process!
Disclaimer: The microdermabrasion will not hurt if you have sensitive skin, but in general the product should only be used about 2-3 times a week.
Step Three: After you’re out of the shower and fully dry, take the Tan Luxe Body Drops and apply two to four drops on the areas you wish to tan. The amount of drops you use will vary based upon the surface area you’re trying to cover. (i.e: You would need more drops for your legs than your arms).
Use your hand (or a glove) to rub the drops into your skin.
Pro Tip: If your skin has been feeling a little dry, you can mix the tanning drops with your favorite moisturizer and apply to your skin for a hydrating glow.
