When prepping your closet for the upcoming summer season; on top of choosing the perfect jean shorts, maxi dresses, tank tops and jumpers make sure you remember to invest some time and moola in a few stylish and supportive footwear pieces. While shoes are a necessity, they are also an awesome accessory that can ground a flashier outfit or add some flare to a more neutral look.
When I was looking at my wardrobe and thinking about my summer plans, I made a list of my top 3 types of sandals that I know will definitely get used on the regular.
A Wedge Slide
Adding a little height is a great and easy way to make an outfit feel more put together, making that shoe a wedge or platform keeps you comfortable, especially while on the go. These Steven by Steve Madden leather platform sandals are a perfect way to add some height without losing the comfort!
Add in some jeans like the G by Giuliana Release Hem Jean and any top (though I’m loving this B Collection Off The Shoulder Boho Top) to bring the look together!
A Sporty Casual Slide
I don’t know about you but I am a major fan of active wear, even when I’m not going to the gym. It’s comfortable, convenient and now-a-days very stylish. Being that it’s summer and warm out, I think trading in your socks and sneakers for some comfy sporty sandals is a perfect alternative. These Fit Flop Neoflex slide sandals are super lightweight, making them perfect for everyday wear.
The Soft & Cozy loungewear line is my new go-to for staying comfy indoors or running errands, you wouldn’t believe how soft the clothing really is… until you get a few of your own!
An Open-Toe Mule
A great way to jazz up a look is by adding a pair of embellished or patterned mules or try a fun print. They are easy to wear and add a touch of high fashion to every outfit.
I paired these Jessica Simpson Mules with a super comfortable Lucky Brand Drop Waist Tunic Dress for a breezy, spring day look!
We’d love to hear, what is your favorite shoe trend this coming season?!
