Eating healthy is sometimes easier said than done, but it’s such a vital part of living a balanced life. In HSN’s Connected Life series (Wednesdays, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. ET.), host Brett Chukerman connects you with experts to discuss topics like sleep, relaxation, fitness and more to help you achieve your best, balanced life.

This week’s special guest, Robin Miller, has been a food writer, cookbook author, nutritionist, and TV host for more than 20 years; and she’s sharing her favorite tips on products for creating healthy and delicious meals to help keep you on a balanced path.

The Healthy Lunchbox

One simple step for staying on a healthy path is to prepare your meals ahead of time. With divided lunch containers you have complete control of portion size and contents, and planning ahead will help keep you focused and organized. Robin says, “You can choose what you like, and have the option of adding more vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and whole grains to every meal.”

And if you’re looking for a way to stay nutritious when you get a midday craving, Robin also says that Mediterra bars are a great snack option. “What I love about Meriterra is that the bars are incredibly wholesome, AND there are savory options – let’s face it, we don’t always crave sugary snacks.”

Meal Prep

Having the right tools to cook your favorite meals is vital to staying on track. Whether you use your oven to bake or like to grill your favorite proteins, these cookers will make cooking healthy fun and easy. Robin says a smoker is also a great tool for staying healthy, “A smoker is a fantastic way to enjoy lean meats, poultry and more without added fat.”

When In Doubt, Juice!

According to Robin, juicing is a great way to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your diet. With the right juicer, you’ll create delicious and nourishing beverages that fuel your body with the daily nutrition it needs. “And consider adding fresh herbs too – basil and parsley make great additions to refreshing fruit and vegetable drinks.”

Adding spices, like this ginger and turmeric duo, to your meals is also a great way to make them more satisfying. Robin shares that, “Ginger and turmeric are “warming” spices and they add incredible depth to meals and snacks. As do all aromatic spices – like cumin, chili, paprika, and more.”

Eat Your Veggies

If eating your vegetables has always been a struggle because cutting them up is half the battle, take the hassle out with a mandoline slicer or Veggie Bullet. “You can slice, dice, spiralizer, and more – making working with vegetables easy and entertaining. This is also an ideal product for parents looking to entice their picky eaters.”

If keeping vegetables fresh is as big of a struggle as cutting them up, these produce-saver sheets are exactly what you need. Robin shares, “When you’re trying to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your diet, it’s important that what you purchase doesn’t deteriorate before you have a chance to enjoy it (and benefit from it). This product is revolutionary and completely changes the game – we now can enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables for longer, in a natural way.”

Learn more of Robin’s tips and how you can nourish your body in this week’s Connected Life episode, Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. ET.
