What happened in Vegas…..Is coming to HSN!
Lady Luck was on my side this past week as I joined over 20,000 jewelry professionals from all over the world in Las Vegas, Nevada for the 18th annual JCK Jewelry Show! The Sands Convention Center was buzzing with jewelry insiders all looking to discover the latest styles, trends, and inspiration the jewelry world has to offer!
Although I didn’t have much luck in the casino, I hit the jackpot when it came to discovering gorgeous new jewelry!
One of the key trends at this year’s show was the influence of Global design. Exotic, ornate and ethnic influences were everywhere – nothing drab or hum-drum to be seen!
At the Himalayan Gems booth I was blown away by the artistry of some of their newest pieces. Their hand crafted silver pieces and beaded necklaces from Nepal are more beautiful than ever….Here’s an example of just one of their new beaded necklace designs coming in November!
Another big trend is Color! There was an explosion of color throughout the show.
For Fall 2009 look for blues, greens, purples, fuchsia, salmon and berry as top color choices in both fashion and jewelry. When I stopped by to visit Sajen Silver I was excited to see some of the most amazing new colorful jewelry by Richard and Marianna Jacobs. The “sky’s the limit” for this fabulous design team – and wait until you see the first Sajen Silver Today’s Special launching in August! If you love color….you will be impressed by their stunning gemstone ring that will be our Today’s Special (in 3 vibrant color choices) – I can’t show it to you yet, but it rivals the lights of the Vegas strip!

Finally, the one key trend that continues to take center stage in the jewelry world is Statement Jewelry! If your taste is big, bold and one-of-a-kind, you will be “all in” for jewelry styles for the upcoming seasons!
Amy Kahn Russell is one designer who knows all about Statement Jewelry – in fact her “Statements” collection for HSN’s Silver Gallery is perfect for the woman who dares to go big!! Amy’s booth is one of the most exciting to visit – the look on women’s faces as they walk by and gaze at her eye-popping designs is priceless. There you have it, a little peek inside the biggest jewelry show in the United States!
And come to think of it, with the good fortune I had finding so many beautiful things at the show this year – I’m guessing Lady Luck is a jewelry collector, too!

My Dear Colleen, I just have to rave a bit about your CL by Design collection. As you know, your huge gray mabe pearl ring (was Item 466782) that sold out from your 7.18.09 Silver Gallery show is an absolutely fabulous ring. The silverwork is regal and ageless, the pearl yummy. Instantly one of my faves. And, your 10.2 ct. (sky) blue topaz ring (Item 466855) and your clear quartz ring (466788) are also wonderful. Your carved rose quartz bamboo stretch bracelet (485578) is also really nice.
Colleen, would it be possible to offer the potay necklaces in a 15 or 16 inch? I would love it for my enhancers and would like it close to the neck -thank you.
You have a knack for finding one-of-a-king pieces. Are you going to feature any dichondric glass or ammolite? I saw a lot of these on a recent trip to Canada.

Have I somehow missed the prestige earring boxes? I remember you mentioning that they would be available in August, but I see one customer already mentioned their availabilty beforehand.
1st time buyer of your Prestige Boxes-only keeping 1 of the 4 I ordered. Great quality, however way to small to work for me. I’m looking for Box for the Jay King size necklaces!! I would like to see a 2 or 3 tier box-clear on top with drawers BIG!! Keep up the Great Job Colleen- you are a treat to watch!!!!

Hi Colleen, Love all of your jewelry and clothes!! Wondering if you were going to be making a rose quartz ring like item #397-173 to match the great rose quartz bracelet item # 397-176? Is it possible? Also I encourage you to keep making bracelets like this one in differnt stones…… they are fantastic. I have the lamir atlantis bracelet and now the rose quartz, looking forward to wearing them together. Wouldn’t be great to have an armful of all different colors of the rainbow?

Hi Colleen, You are my favorite host on HSN. I was wondering if you will be getting any more of the Technibond Scarlet Kaleidoscope jewelry back in stock. The color is so pretty. When I had my house built I had made an X-large closet built in my bedroom to put a sm.island in the middle for my jewelry.
