Update Your Look for Fall with Exquisite Fine Jewelry from Carol Brodie

Submitted by Carol Brodie on September 2, 2010 – 1:56 PM41 Comments

Hi ladies, sharing with you my fall lust list below. Fall for fine jewelry and tune in to HSN on September 11th at 2:00am & 3:00am and September 12th from 6:00 – 9:00pm.

1. Dark-red nail polish instantly signals September, and looks so good with Rarities’ rhodium accented sterling silver and gem disco ball rings (I am stacking two together). The earrings were a favorite at this year’s television awards in Hollywood. To really play up the dark red nails, I am wearing this ruby and gold vermeil necklace with the wood and diamond cross enhancer. The whole look is so rock-and-roll and red carpet!

2. Anything in faux fur framing my face makes me feel super glamorous, especially with a pair of sparkling classic pear-shaped drop earrings and the most classic modern three stone ring set in fall’s newest hue; rose gold. Shop more: Carol Brodie earrings

3. Retro chic is all the rage, and I am coveting a vintage top-handle leather purse (from my mom’s collection) to wear with my super-chic cream colored freshwater pearls. I will wear the glitter zircon disco ball clasp on my collarbone to evoke a 50’s authentic look. I am also eyeing a long strand of my grandmother’s pearls to layer around this stunning necklace. I have not taken this off since I got it. I have worn it with two dozen different outfits and it always takes center stage. Shop more: Carol Brodie necklaces

4. This season, animal prints signal the trend setting styles. I am coveting a leopard print trench coat to wear with my blue-and-white diamond zebra band ring.

5. The suit is back, but this season the shape is thoroughly modern. I am looking for an unstructured long wool blazer and pants to provide the perfect backdrop for my new twin ring. I saw this style in Italy and had to bring it to you – asap! This is really a showstopper! No other jewels required – this one says it all!

6. Army chic looks so great this season. I have already splurged on a green army coat with leather sleeves. I will wear it with jeans by day and with black leggings at night. The green tsavorite and diamond evil-eye necklace is a perfect way to celebrate “army green” and brighten up the look. If you love malachite as much as I do, the malachite ring and stiletto earrings are a MUST-HAVE!

7. Mix-and-match florals, animal prints and painterly patterns call for simple jewels that add sparkle, but do not distract. My choice is this super glam vintage-inspired cocktail ring. I saw the original 1940’s ring in Tucson at the gem show last year and had it re-made for Rarities. It is perfectly in proportion, and the color of the london blue topaz is as vivid as the Caribbean Sea. Shop more: Carol Brodie rings

Hello Carol – I have enjoyed looking at your jewelry since you joined HSN. However, I think that you mentioned at the beginning of 2010 (I might be wrong re the timing) that you would be bringing a locket to your collection. I have been looking for the perfect locket for a long time,(they seem hard to find as I am looking for a bigger rather than a smaller size locket). Is this still a possibility ? Thanks in advance for any response, I do hope yr answer is ‘yes’ !

  • ef1973 says:

Hi Carol-Have you considered making more cross pendants? Esp. in set gemstones. I think they would sell very well. It would be nice if you offered one each time you came on. I’m sure many of us would love to build a collection. You could make one for every line….Catherine the Great, the shades of amethyst, labrodorite and moonstone, coral….etc. I saw on another network that a v. special and stylish former 1st lady collected crosses, I think your line would have been beloved by her!

  • Diane80 says:

    Hello Carol,
Will you be using Pink opal in any more pieces in the future? The necklace you created sold out so quickly and as of yet none have been returned.
    Thanks,
    Diane

  • bellasusanna says:

Carol, There are no words to express my joy to have found your new line on HSN.I did not find much interest or excitement in other lines on other networks who tout they are bringing value and uniqueness.I was trying to find way to tell my best friend how incredibly excited I am to have found your line. I thought to say, “She is a GEM GODDESS! or a GODDESS OF GEMS!” Has anyone ever given you one of those nicknames? You are my Goddess of Gems and cannot wait to see what you create next. Thank you

  • SUNCHICK says:

Hi Carol, Would you make some earrings cushion cut to match your 9.69ct Pink Amethyst and Gem 10K Pendant Item: 951-769. It is beautiful and I would like earrings to go with it (same stones). Your rose gold is the prettiest I have seen! Thanks for reading and answering our comments.
Can’t wait to see the new next month!
    : )

  • Littljoey says:

Carol, This is the first time I bought your jewelry. I loved the green evil eye!! Bring in some more please, as my chain broke & I lost it. I only got to wear it two times. I would like to have it replaced!! Please restock =)I will continue to see what else you bring. The rose jewelry is gorgeous too.

    Thank you From MN.

  • Lisa2000 says:

Carol, will you ever bring back the simple Buddah Tummy jade dome ring? I am very tactile and would love a piece of your jewelry that I could touch like that when I am wearing. Plus, love the simplicity of the look.
Will you ever bring nice pieces of big smooth jade back like your earrings that you first did in 14K? I missed the rings.
Another thought, worry beads? I wasn’t joking about being tactile =)
I’m in love with your pieces, especially the Sun Goddess 10K earrings, my favorite!

  • SUNCHICK says:

Hi, I love the concept of the “Twin Ring”-Amethyst, Prasiolite and White Topaz! I did not get it because I am not fond of Amethyst & Prasiolite being together. It is perfect for people that have big knuckles. It basically eliminates having to go over a big knuckle then having the ring twist all around because the rest of your finger is smaller. Brilliant! Please consider two different colors for the bigger stones. Also having them two large cushion cuts or two triliant cuts would be awesome!

  • Diane80 says:

    Hi Carol,
Please, Please bring back the black onyx and diamond bracelet. I almost had it but when I went to check out my cart the braclet was gone. I can not believe my luck first the pink opal necklace and now the back onyx bracelet. I have purchased some of your other items but really wanted these two items.
    Thanks,
    Diane

  • Chrissy132PA says:

Carol, I absolutely love your jewelry designs. I tuned in once accidently and learned so much about jewelry, colors, accessorizing, and even some spirituality. I had always thought “RARITES” is not for me. Oh I would not watch because I just assumed it was jewelry I could never afford and would be stuff that was too fru-fru! For a change: I am glad I was wrong. Your pieces are elegant, gorgeous, and significant. I most definitely connect. And I get it! I CAN afford these amazing pieces.

    • Carol Brodie says:

I love your message and you made my day, week and month!!!!!!!! Rarities is for every girl (and guys too) who are passionate about gems, design, quality, style (and spirituality). They are unique and bold and hopefully empower the women who wear them. After all, a statement piece of jewelry does just that… it makes a super powerful statement about the person who is wearing it. Right?? See you on October 30th at noon and thank you again for your inspiring message. xoxox

  • simplesophie says:

Hi Carol! I simply love your pieces, you have such a respect for the stones you work with that your design work is second to none. I noticed you are using more rhodium plating and vermeil than when you started. With the price of gold such as it is, that doesn’t surprise me and frankly the value is appreciated. I have a question on its durability, however — will these pieces need to be replated? Or alternatively, when the finish wears off, will the base metal/sterling be noticeable?

    • Carol Brodie says:

I am so pleased to know that you are enjoying my jewelry designs! In terms of caring for your vermeil jewelry, use a soft, untreated cloth to clean your jewelry; never use a corrosive anti-tarnish solution or silver polishing cloth as they will wear away the coating. Typically, rings and bracelets will wear away more quickly than necklaces or earrings simply because they are more likely to come into contact with other surfaces. Take care of your vermeil and it will have a long life. xo

      • aqualady says:

Carol, I’m so glad you posted this response regarding vermeil. I purchased your smoky quartz circle necklace and I was concerned about the durability. The necklace is georgous and I get so many compliments. I hope to have it to hand down to my neices or grand daughters. How would you recommend I store it? Do you have plans for smoky quartz or gold earrings to coordinate? Thank you for your beautiful pieces. Every piece I purchase is more beautiful than the last.

  • Jackie375 says:

    Hi Carol,
I missed your show last week! Bummer. But I did check online and bought 3 of your pieces! I haven’t received them yet, but I am so excited to get them. I know I will love them. That will make 15 pieces I have of yours so far. You are the only jewelry designer I buy from now and I can’t wait for your next collection. The ring I really wanted was the oval lavender chalcedony ring, but it sold out. I am checking the website every 5 minutes for it to come back :)
    Thanks Carol!

  • Diane80 says:

    Hello Again Carol,
I just purchased the Cabochon Gem & White Zircon Hoop Earrings LABRADORITE and Rose Quartz and Labradorite Beaded Necklace. I can not wait to receive them and think they will look great together. I sure hope you bring some more items in everything is selling fast.
I am still watching from the pink opal and diamond necklace to come back (watching daily)
    Diane

  • nana928 says:

Hi Carol, I love your jewelry and I love listening to you tell the stories about the pieces and also what you have learned over the years. I have one request, I know how much you love large statement rings, but do you see yourself doing a small selection of rings a little smaller in size in the stone weight. If not thats ok, I will still love all of your jewelry. You do a great job, keep it up.

    • Carol Brodie says:

Did you see 960 731? If you are looking for a smaller scale ring that is absolutely perfect, please check out the amethyst and blue topaz ring that I introduced yesterday. I so appreciate your suggestion and I will try and include small scale rings in future collections. The new disco ball rolling ring is also quite small In comparison to many of my others. See you next month – have a fabulous September! Xo

      • nana928 says:

        Hi Carol,

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my request, you are such a lady. Also, thank you for your suggestions. I will look through your whole collection here on HSN and I’m sure I’ll find a ring that will fit what I am looking for and thank you for keeping my request in mind.
I will see you next month. Have a great September! Please keep up the great work.

  • goldngirl98 says:

    Hello Carol,
First let me say your jewelry is truly beautiful and I am a fan.
I missed out on the pink opal and diamond pendant and have been watching daily to see if it comes back. Please, please bring it back opal is my birth stone and pink is my color.

  • rosecut says:

I missed buying your rosecut diamond band ring last year and wanted to kick myself! Will you ever bring that back?

    • Carol Brodie says:

      Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to write in. Yes, the rose-cut diamond band was extraordinary! I do not plan on bringing it back as the cost of production has increased and we will have to raise the price if we bring it back.

We may get a return — so keeping checking the page. You may love the new onyx bead and champagne diamond bracelet. It has a similar Indian style and it is a really amazing and very chic piece; not too mention a great value price.

      xo, Carol

  • Devi318 says:

    Hi Carol,

It was a real pleasure meeting you with my mom in Vegas last month. I just purchased the eye pendant in blue for both of us and cannot wait to receive them after seeing it on you. I love its beauty and symbolism and will wear it at my book release event next month!!

    Much Peace,

    Devi F.

    • Please be careful to ensure the necklace is clasped as it is very small. I loved mine. Lost it the first day I wore it to work. Ironically, I know when it fell off and have the chain. All co-workers and I are puzzled because the “evil eye’ has never been found. How far could it go when I was sitting at a desk? It is a beauty and I wish you many happy years wearing yours! Maybe when I am having a really bad day, mine will magically appear and make my day. LOL Enjoy and stay safe. Carolina

    • Carol Brodie says:

      Hello Devi,

I am so happy to hear from you — I so LOVED meeting your mother and you in Las Vegas. You are both so beautiful — spiritually and physically. Your eyes will protect you both from envy and jealousy and you will look so CHIC and stylish. Thanks for spending time with me and best of luck with your book launch. I can’t wait to read it.

      xo, Carol

  • Lisa2000 says:

Positively obsessed with your earrings! I just bought 8 pair in the last 2 months and I am a hard sale. I’d love to tell you about my purchases and how I have been wearing them but I am “Facebook” shy.
Can you please make your chains 14″? Since you present a lot of pieces to be worn in the hollow of your neck(I have an 18K faceted gold one carat diamond from E.P that I wear there)perhaps you could sell your chains also w the 14″ option instead of having the added expense to take to a jeweler.

  • DIANAINTX says:

Carol – I have your huge Larimar ring and thought I remembered you saying that a pendant was in the “works”….I have not seen it to date….is it still coming? If so, when?
    Thanks much

    • Carol Brodie says:

Well, I still cannot seem to put my hands on the right quality Larimar in the size that I want for a pendant. For now, I would suggest going with a beautiful blue topaz pendant to offset the heavenly hue of the Larimar ring. I don’t want to settle for anything less than the best. Will wait until we can find a truly special lot of the Larimar. Thanks for asking and for being so patient. xx

  • spence900 says:

Hi Carol, Thank you so much for responding about the baby elephant!!I was so excited when I read it.I love the new green evil eye,I received it already and plan on putting it on an amethyst bead bracelet.I also have the blue eye and hamsa and think the elephant would be great in silver with a blanket of colors similar to your or solid blanket of gems,Thanks again for personally replying to your loyal fans!Danielle
