Tune in for a Rarities Spring Fling with Carol Brodie

Submitted by Carol Brodie on March 15, 2012 – 1:28 PM23 Comments

Jewelry trends of spring 2012 echo and accent the season’s fashion colors. Here are a few of my favorite new styles that will help you to transition from winter cool to summer hot!

Labradorite, with its metallic schiller, is seemingly a charcoal, gray-blue colored feldspar gem. It’s is similar to an asterism creating an optical star-like effect, with an endless array of rainbow colors reflecting from within. It is the perfect gem to wear with solids or colorful patterns.

Tourmaline, the precious gem that comes in every color of the rainbow, will instantly add spring’s magnificent hues to any look. From basic black and white to the season’s color blocking and bohemian florals, rainbow colors of tourmaline are so incredibly timeless and modern – especially in these exclusive new designs.

I have one more secret to share for the season: Moonstone. Moonstone is a neutral gem with subtle flashes of color. It is the stone of love. Moonstone is like the perfect white t-shirt or blouse – it works with everything! Peach has the softest, warmest, most romantic glow. Think of the orange, translucent haze of the sun rising on a perfect, clear March morning.

I can’t wait to present the entire collection to you on Sunday, March 18th from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Be sure to tune in because I am so excited about all of the new pieces (OMG, wait until you see the diamond evil-eye and hamsa rings!)

Sending you love and sparkle,

Carol

    Hi Carol,
I’m starting quite the collection of your eye pendant’s. I remember on your last show you spoke about loving short lengths on your necklaces so I was wondering if you would consider mmanking a 15 inch
option. I love all of your creations & you are a beautiful person to
    watch!!

    Hi Carol,
I can’t wait until next weekend for the new shows! I have a request: I know you don’t really repeat things….but…..do you remember a long time ago you had a large wooden cuff w/a huge gem evil eye on it? I had just discovered you at that time and hadn’t really taken the plunge yet :) PLEASE bring it back, I simply MUST have one!! Thank you and as always I love your creativity and you ROCK!
    xoxo Melissa

    Carol,
I simply adore your jewelry line! There’s a LOVE collection done by a popular designer (Sydney Evan) that’s beautiful but quite expensive. I would love to see you do something similar with a more affordable price point.
Also, please, please, please bring back that beaded bracelet with the sideway cross on it!
Looking forward to seeing your new products as usual.

    Hi Carol,
I love your amazing rarities collection. I wish you would bring some big beautiful bold Amethyst rings this year rectangular, square or oval 20 carats or more in 10kt. I haven’t seen any this year. I hope you will surprise us with something special. Thank you for bringing Diva size stones to us! hmmm how about a 25 carat Diva Amethyst ring in 10kt. I am waiting. Thank You.

    Hello Carol,

You have created a lot of beautiful and elegant stuff for people and I think you are a talented artist for jewelry. I love many of your designs and believe your items really hit a great sell-thru.

    Thank you !

    Carol,
In January I purchased your .98ct Diamond Interlocking Design Ring, Item NO.: 129-824. I have worn the ring all of 5 times. The last time I wore it, yesterday, I noticed gold flecks on my desk and on my hands. When I examined the ring, I was appalled to find that the gold overlay of the ring had peeled off!! You claim that your jewelry is of the highest quality and that your vermeil is the best. I am horrified by the poor quality and will never buy your jewelry again.

Hi Carol, I’ve seen a new trend in jewelry that is intriguing but super expensive and was wondering if you had any plans to bring it to Rarities – the diamond surrounded shark’s tooth? I’ve seen a necklace and ring but they were way into the thousands. Very neat and boho though….As always, I want you to know how incredible I think you are and how much I admire your work. It would be a dream job to learn from you so if you ever need another assistant let me know! xoxo Melissa

  • Love all your jewelry! Please bring back your unity bracelet missed out on it and would love to purchase one!

  • Hi Carol,
I recently purchased your “Monico” Earrings, Single strand labradorite necklace, and tassel labradorite/black pearl/iolite earrings, and 7 row multi-color sapphire ring. I love all of my pieces. The other day when I was looking at them in my jewelry box, I thought, they’re more than just pieces of jewelry…they’re each a little work of art…that you also get to wear! With each new piece I receive, the more I fall in love with all of your creations. Get lots of compliments. Thanks!

At your visit on hsn, I fell in love with the blouse you were wearing and was wondering is this a your line of clothes or if you are willing to share where i can purchase a bouse like the one you were wearing.
    Thank you, Pam Detrick

    Hi Carol,
I am just discovering your beautiful jewlry.I have not made a purchase as of yet. I am more interested in purchasing a blue sapphire ring for every day wear. Do you have blue sapphire rings with diamonds but without a combination of other gemstones? I hope so.I pray all is well with your husband and son. I will continue to watch for your appearance on HSN. Your tips are very educational and appreciated.

Thank you for always letting me know what you have in the works – it gives me something to look forward to! I’m wearing my rose gold deco watch everywhere with everything. I actually wore it this morning to a 5k St Patty’s day race with my kids and my mom. I also wear it to work, and dressed up, dressed down, doesn’t matter! I think I’m gonna have to get those moonstone/lab earrings, can’t resist them! I love everything you do Carol, keep it up and thank you so much. xoxo Melissa

This collection is really exciting. I can not wait to present it a little later. I have an OM coming in a few months. I listen to YOU — don’t worry. So happy that you love the rose gold watch… me too. The new Labradorite ring is seriously insane and it is (Rarities: Fine Jewelry with Carol Brodie Labradorite and Diamond Vermeil Ring Item: 164-035) a great ring to bridge high jewelry with organic styling. The earrings are seriously the hottest ever. See you later.xo

    Hi Carol,
It was great seeing you & your family at the Lionel Richie show. Clearly, you were having a terrific time as were those of us who were watching from home. I enjoyed your interview with Anji Corley.
You have a great personality and I feel your jewelry reflects that. Please take into consideration the suggestions of your fans to make your line somewhat more affordable. Many more people would buy your beautiful pieces! Thank you for your attention.

    • Carol Brodie says:

Thank you so much for your sweet sentiments. We had a blast!!! I was only sad that both of my boys could not be here, but my 12-year old has a bday party today in CT. Can’t be in two places at once… I have affordable pieces (under $100.00) in every monthly event, so please keep tuning in. It is really hard to create fine jewelry in precious gems and metals for that price, but I want you all to wear and love Rarities, so I am doing my very best. See you tomorrow at 1pm. Lots of love, Carol

  • Leslie1028 says:

    Hi Carol,
So looking forward to Sunday’s programs. I always try to pick up at least one special piece each time you’re on and since my latest obsession is labradorite I’m eyeing the triple strand necklace. It looks gorgeous. Thanks for the unique designs you bring and for your positive energy. I think that really comes through in your jewelry.

    • Carol Brodie says:

      Hi Leslie,
So, let me tell you a little secret. The new labradorite triple strand is insane. I added an extra lobster claw and jump-ring (I will show you all tomorrow) so that it can be worn short or long and it is now the very best piece I own. It cost $15.00 at the jeweler and it is worth it. Looks like a $1500.00 necklace. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! You will too!!! Thanks so much for your message. Makes me feel wonderful! xxxx

      • Leslie1028 says:

Thanks for the great idea to make the necklace even more versatile…I just ordered it online and can’t wait to see it presented…think I’ll wear it with your 72″ labradorite strand I got in the fall. I’ll be up watching tonight, bleary-eyed:-) Thanks for making such beautiful things that make us feel beautiful when we wear them. Wishing you great shows tomorrow.

  • Hi Carol, I just received my 2 sets of 3 FWP bracelets, they are awesome! I also ordered the 36″ white topaz necklace, they look like diamonds, very stunning! Thank you for replying to me regarding the “Wings of Love” if hsn agrees to re-order them (I’m praying they do) I will wear them in honor of my grandmother. You are as unique as your Rarities keep up the great work Carol! xox

    • Carol Brodie says:

You got such great pieces. I am so excited!! Don’t you feel like you are wearing the hottest looks for the most amazing values? No one will ever know!!! If you shop around in the specialty stores, you will see similar looks for thousands of dollars… and you are still getting rare gems and precious sterling. Soooo happy. See you later — 2 – 4am and 1 – 3pm. Thanks for always staying in touch and please post your reviews. xoxox

  • aqualady says:

Carol, I ordered your London Blue Princess Cut ring and loved it so much I ordered another. One for each hand as you wore it during the presentaiton. Please consider bringing us earrings with the London Blue Princess Cut stones.

I noticed something your viewers should realize. Some pieces look better for night/others day. Not dress or casual, but the stones in a ring may look boring in bright light, but turn to massive sparkle in subdued lighting. ie diamond swirl ring

    Hi Carol,
I’m loving all the new stuff on .com and can’t wait until the shows this weekend. Still trying to decide what new piece I’m picking up-I’m eyeing those moontstone/labradorite earrings and the labradorite ring though :)I love the new onyx beaded bracelet but it’s a little out of my budget…will you have more coming soon that are a little more affordable? I would sooooo love one w/an OM on it. I also wanted to tell you that I got the rosegold watch and LOVE it! Thank you for everything!
