From Brazil with Love…Behind the Scenes with Carol Brodie & Graziela Kaufman
Exclusive. Extraordinary. Fabulous. Unique. Magnificent. Exceptional. Rare. This is the only way that I can sum up this amazing collection entitled From Brazil with Love…. collaboration between two girlfriends who happen to be incredibly passionate about life, love, family, friends and gems. For my very first Trunk Show, I wanted to create a capsule collection of jewelry celebrating gems uniquely featured in breathtaking one-of-a-kind designs. From Brazil with Love is the result of a unique partnership between my new and dear friend Graziela and me. Graziela was born in Brazil where she spent her childhood studying the remarkable natural resources found in her own backyard. Brazil is home to many of our most beautiful treasured gems including agate, quartz, tourmaline, aquamarine, citrine and even diamonds. She started her career as a jewelry designer and has been the behind-the-scenes source for some of the wealthiest women in the world. Her passion and love for magnificent jewels was cultivated by her own mother’s amazing collection.
After seeing me appear on the Today Show last summer, Graziela contacted me. We spoke on the phone several times and sent each other photographs of our favorite jewelry designs and gemstones. I flew to Chicago to meet her and fell in love with her before ever seeing her fantastic gems. We have a similar design aesthetic (we both love big important jewelry) and our personalities, passions and joy de vivre are a perfect match. I asked her to source some amazing gems from Brazil for Rarities. We realized that everything we loved would be too important to produce more than one of, so together we decided to create a collection of one-of-a-kind Rarities. Via trips back and forth to New York (can you believe that her parents’ just happen to live in the same apartment building that I do) and Chicago and lots of phone calls, we came up with a Trunk Show full of the most fantastic jewelry. Graziela went to Brazil and sourced the gems and we began working with her atelier to produce the collection. Once completed, we realized that our love of for each of these jewels and the incredible gems represented more than jewelry… each magnificent piece was symbolic of our new friendship. Unique, rare, one-of-a-kind, sparkling, brilliant and created from a passion, warmth and a kindred spirit.
I must confess that I also added about five other pieces to the Trunk Show because they are my favorites and I had been holding them and waiting for an opportunity to share them with you. So, my first Rarities Trunk Show includes 21 masterpieces featuring intricate workmanship, fine quality, colorful and unique gemstones all exclusively presented to HSN’s jewelry connoisseurs who appreciate nature’s most precious gems and jewels.

I wanted to order the peach morganite and I believe blue topaz earrings. Are these still available? I saw them one day and gone the next. I do not know if they are sold out. I HAVE PURCHASED 2 OF YOUR RINGS- THE STERLING/ONYX BLUE TOPAZ & DIAMOND #305-695 AND THE BAME RING IN AMEYTHST. LOVE LOVE THEM!! ARE YOU ABLE TO DO THIS RING WITH A GEMSTONE THAT WOULD LOOK LIKE DIAMOND??? A GEMSTONE WITH FACETS SIMILAR TO A DIAMOND. MAYBE USING HSN’S ABSOLUTE STONE OR SOMETHING WITH ALOT OF BLING. Hi Carol! I see your green jade budda ring is on waitlist for size 6. Can you please please bring it back in size 7! Like another lovely lady wrote in, I too just had a baby girl and I too am going to pass all my beloved gems on too my girls some day(I also have a 15 year old daughter too). But so sorry to say i had too send back the ts from your feb show, the ameyth and diamond with black onyx band because the setting was just glued into the band!! The ring just fell apart!! What’s up with that

I just received the sapphire earrings, LOVE LOVE LOVE!. The design, stone quality etc are fantasic. I also have the snowy white lab ring another great purchase as well as the TSV earrings. The tigers eye ring is on the way, I can’t wait to receive. The rings are bold and the designs are very upscale. Looking forward to new designs! You have excellent taste!.

Please make more of the buddha ring available. I just had a baby daughter and would love to purchase in a size 7 or 8 to pass on to her when she is older after I wear it. I am crazy about that ring but these sizes haven’t been available. I put it on waitlist which is my first time ever waitlisting anything (I hope I did it right). I watched you last time you were on air and think your jewelry is gorgeous and well made. thank you so much!!!
Hello Carole,i am a new commer to your collection but i laready order a couple(the psaroliate and green diamond ring and the swiss blue and sapphire ) and i’m on waiting list for your london blue topaz and blue diamond ring.I’m sorry though ,that i missed the orange sapphire rind,can you please orange rings on your next visit? and when is that?

I purchased the Rarities diamond rosecut sterling band and totally love it. I ordered size 7 and it does not fit me. Are there any left (website indicates sold-out) OR can it be sized
from the undergallery — OR is it coming back at any point? I love the contemporary look of the ring and am hesitant to send it back.

Carol,i am so happy that you and your Brazilian friend designed the most beautiful pieces that i have ever seen.
I am thinking about buying the large amethyst ring but i’m a size 8. Do you have more than one piece? Can you resize it for me? You are amazing and you should have a higher end show for people like me. Thank you .
Carol would you please put larger clasps on your necklaces. I wore my beautiful Evil Eye pendant one time and it fell off because I had not clasped it correctly. I am single which means I do not have anyone to help me clasp my chains. This is the first pendant I have ever lost. Alas, I found the chain which I could have lived without but never found the pendant. My fault as I should have known to put the pendant on a more substantial chain. It was beautiful!
Carol- I really NEED that handmade silver eternity band with the hand cut diamonds made in India in a size 7 or 8— I didn’t see the presentation on it but saw it on your page and I keep checking HSN daily because I just know someone is going to return it or perhaps their credit card didn’t go through because I just KNOW that ring is supposed to be mine! Do you have an extra one laying around your office? I am seriously lusting for this ring- I feel certain it is coming to me very very soon

Hi Carol, I was wondering if Evil Eye jewelry ever comes in brown? I think it would look flattering on brown eyed women to wear the Evil Eye pendant made with Brown Topaz or Smokey Quartz. All the best, Amy
Carol: your shows were amazing!!! Loved all the pieces – wish I could buy them all. Your collection is so unique. And love love your stories and exuberance. I taped your last show because I was at a Purim Carnival Sunday afternoon (I’m on the west coast) with rings on every finger in costume – can’t wait for those rings to be yours. I have never taped a show before but I couldn’t miss yours.

Great series of shows yesterday. You made a fan out of a very jaded jewely buyer. Happened to have channel surfed by when you were on with the TS and fell in love. You have a fresh, young perspective, in step, yet not so trendy that only the twenty-somethings want to wear the jewelry. It is contemporary, yet with a sensibility steeped in history. The phone call from your mom was lovely as was your heartfelt reaction.

CAROL,I love watching your shows;being on a budget I have to unfortunately just observe and wish. I did order the moon stone ring in the bark looking gold. I have not received it yet; but I can hardly wait. I wanted to ask you if you could make a sky blue ring in a princess cut bezel set.
