Thanks for Asking!

This April I’ve been “showered” with many questions and requests from you – in fact, I’d call it a Downpour! So let’s get right to it – I’m dedicating my April Blog to what “inquiring minds want to know” :-)

First of all – for all the Drusy lovers – Thank You!! We had an amazing response to our first Faceted Window Drusy Today’s Special! I’m thrilled that most of you were happy with your rings (and matching pieces). Because Drusy is such an unusual stone (and because window Drusy is truly one-of-a-kind) some of the feedback we’ve received speaks to the “unevenness” of the Drusy Window itself. Everyone’s taste is different – I actually love the uneven stones the best (where you can see hills and valleys) as these stones seem to have the most character. Feel rest assured that your stone is not supposed to look “perfect” – it’s the unique characteristics that make it special and as nature intended. The next time I show you Drusy on TV, I will be sure to show you as many different types as possible so you can get a better feel for what makes each stones so unique.

Drusy Care: I’ve had many request for how to care for Drusy. The best way to clean your Drusy is with a mild soap, warm water and a soft brush. After cleaning, rinse your stone and pat dry (or I like to use a blow dryer as it get rid of any water spots!). Your Drusy finish (titanium and platinum), with proper care it will last a life time – enjoy!!

To all of our Sajen fans: Thank you for the warm welcome and amazing response to Richard and Marianna’s jewelry! They are thrilled that you all love their designs and they are both hard at work putting together a beautiful collection for June! Enjoy your new treasures and stay tuned for more exciting Sajen Silver in the future!

Sajen requests: Many of you missed the stunning Sea Horse Collection….We are working on bringing it back for June or August. Richard and Marianna appreciate any and all feedback – so keep your comments coming!

Anti-Tarnish Box update: Yes, we will be offering an earring box…It’s coming in August! The cuff box will also be back in August – it sold out fast and I know many people missed it. We have many new choices coming in the next few months (the small boxes will be here in July). Be sure to check HSN.com every couple of weeks for new arrivals.

Hi Snow in Texas! I love your name :) The Deb Guyot citrine “lemon drop” necklace is my favorite piece of Deb’s. I get so many compliments when I wear this (and I’m sure you do to!). Thanks for watching our shows…the Milky Aqua Deb is working on will not disappoint!

For Ann Lydia in PA – You wrote with concerns about Sajen using Simulated Turquoise and Carved glass for some of their pieces. Let me try to explain…Richard and Marianna are artists first – they are always looking for new ways to showcase their amazing carvings and hand made designs. They have been using Fiber optic Glass in their collection for many years (the first Sajen ring I purchased from an upscale jewelry catalog was blue Fiber optic Glass). This stone is perfect for showing off the intricacy of their hand carved sculptures. Regarding their turquoise – Sajen uses Reconstituted Turquoise for their designs and have been using this type of Turquoise for many years. HSN refers to reconstituted Turquoise as “simulated” (other stores and shopping networks call the same stone reconstituted). The purpose for using these “flawless” stones is to showcase the beauty of the carver’s work without having matrix to distract from the artistry. Hope this helps!

Victoria in Florida – Greetings! Victoria Weick is an amazing designer! She loves her customers and is always interested in your feedback. I will be sure to forward your design suggestions to Victoria’s buyer, Pamela, to see if they can work on something similar to what you describe. Take care!

Hi Nancy in Texas! You’re requesting Turquoise stud earrings…excellent idea! I will forward this to our jewelry buyers to see if Jay King or Studio Barse can come up with something for you!

Hello Paula in NV! You have lots of great requests: I’ll speak to my buyer about bringing back the horse carvings….Sajen Silver helped me with these carvings, so I will see what they can do for us! I will let Jay’s buyer, Marjorie know your look for a blue jasper necklace. I’ll also tell Adrienne our Technibond buyer to look for charms for you!! Thanks for watching and for all your great requests.

Becky in Florida – Your wish is my command :-) We have the perfect earring box coming in August…sorry it’s taking so long, but I promise it will be worth the wait!!

Kim in CA – Your message is hilarious! Kim says she and I are like birds….if we see something shiny we crash into it LOL!! I have a feeling there are a lot of “birds” reading this blog! Anyway…the sunset rose drusy ring looks fabulous with gold or silver jewelry. A pretty gold or silver watch or set of sleek bangles would look great and not compete with your pretty ring! Enjoy!

Sanjean in GA – You’re asking about Drusy pendants to match your ring….The cross pendants will be back in August – have fun wearing your beautiful ring!

Hi Cindy in Vermont! I love the Joan Boyce collection. I had a chance to visit with her while she was meeting with her buyers here at HSN. She was showing me all of her original gemstone and gold jewelry that has inspired her fashion jewelry line for HSN – I was blown away! I’ve met her manufacturer and they do excellent work.

Minnie in ME….We are no longer offering the Prestige Boxes in the turquoise color. I know we are working on new colors so I will see if our buyer will consider bringing turquoise back :)

Amy in PA – Believe me there are days when I need Jewelry Rehab, too!! Thank goodness jewelry isn’t fattening or I’d really be in trouble! The top you’re asking about is coming this fall as part of My Favorite Things (I believe it will be in blue, black and deep purple). Take care and keep shining!

Alice in CA – You’ve asked about natural white Drusy – and the answer is yes! We have a new Silver Gallery Designer, Heather Benjamine, coming to HSN in August…she uses natural white Drusy in her collection and it’s fabulous!!

Marlene in VA – Hi! You’ve asked about a Lilac Amethyst bracelet to match your ring….I love this is idea and I’ll try to get one in the works!

Thank you Sue in CA! I can tell you’ve been busy shopping for gorgeous jewelry – I hope you love and enjoy all of your new pieces!! Sounds like you may need a couple new jewelry boxes for all your loot :-)

Joyce in Florida – Greetings! The clasps you are asking about are by Jess David. These are part of a necklace set item # 405-190. Take a look at the video and our demonstration will show you how the clasps work (with and without the pearls that are part of the set).

Sweet Honey in MO – Thank you for your nice compliment! You’re asking about what skin care products I use – here are some of my favorites:
Serious Skin Care C No Wrinkle
Serious Skin Care Replicate and ReNew
Lancôme Genefique
Wei East Eyes Alive
Andrew Lessman Healthy Hair, Skin and Nails

Brenda in NC – I’m thrilled to hear you love your new Drusy Rings! I’m sorry to say we have retired the stand up necklace box. The good news is we’re working on a new design for necklaces and hope to have it before the holidays (sorry it take so long!). Take care.

Connie in NY – You have a good eye! You are asking about my pave eternity bands….They will be here for Host Pick Day in June (I have gorgeous matching bracelets to go with them, too!). The pave flower ring you’re asking about will be here on May 17th as part of a three hour My Favorite Things jewelry show! The Diana Venezia Fluorite Necklace is coming back in June (she’s working on matching earrings and bracelets, too!) Thank you for all your requests, Connie!

Sue in CA – I’m thrilled you love your Cat jewelry – I will talk to our designers and buyers about offering more selections in the future!

Karen in IL – Thank you for your nice message. You asked about what hand products I use….My favorite are the Hemp Hand Lotion, Hemp Cuticle Oil and Hemp Nail Hardener by Italian Beauty. I’ve been using them for years and they really make a difference! Marina in PA – Yes! You asked about Diana Venezia Designs and I’m happy to say she’ll be back in June for our Silver Gallery show with a gorgeous summer collection!

Hi Diana in SC! The necklace you’re asking about is one I found at a little boutique when I was skiing in Colorado! Our buyers are already working on bringing in something similar for fall – stay tuned!

Rita in Texas – Great Suggestions! Your ring box idea sounds very much like what we’re working on for the new box coming in August. It will have areas that slide out for hoops and dangles and will also have compartments for studs. I hope you’ll like it!

Linda in NY! I love crosses and we are always working on new pretty designs. Have you looked at Nicky Butler’s crosses? He has a gorgeous assortment – you may want to give his a try!

Angie in NM – Hi! The Smokey Quartz Prism jewelry will not be reordered until next fall…but I will be sure we bring back the gorgeous pendant. I will also request we bring in the Neptune Bracelet (with the smokey quartz and shiva shells)….they make a perfect match!

Hi Lois in IL! It’s always nice hearing from you! I love working with Suzanne Somers…and in person she looks amazing for her age (I can’t believe she’s 62!). I appreciate your feedback on my hair! It’s always fun to try something new (these days it’s a little shorter and darker). My hair is very thick and curly so many styles don’t work for me….My husband loves my hair dark….but I like it a little longer – oh, well! With the Florida humidity, you never know what will happen :-). By the way, the rotating necklace rack is a great idea and I will talk to my team to see about designing something like this.

Lynette in CA – You’re asking about my duel time zone watch. I just got off the phone this morning with the manufacturer. Sorry to say, it won’t be here for May, but we hope to bring it in by fall. Thanks for your patience!!

Thanks a million for all your feedback – I love hearing from you!

Happy Spring!
Colleen
