Summer Days Inspiration
Hey ladies!
We are deep in the “lazy days” of summer, which never seem so “lazy” do they? I have been busy shuttling the kids, reapplying sunscreen, trying to steal a few moments of peace on the beach, struggling to navigate backyard lawn parties in my high heels. And, of course, designing a new collection for you! Summer is hard work :)
These lazy/crazy days have inspired an amazing mid-summer/pre-fall collection. I have purposely designed each of these pieces so they can be worn in the summer and carry you right into the fall. The fabrics and colors are seasonless; the styles and cuts are meant to be coolly comfortable, but also fierce and fashionable (to take you from those backyard lawn parties to those impending back-to-school nights).
I am really excited about the Ultimate Maxi Dress and matching Flowy Drape Front Cardigan. These were both bestsellers when I was on air in February (both sold out immediately!), so they are back by popular demand in a whole new range of wonderful colors. I am also excited about the very versatile Simply Chic Shirred Scoop Neck Dress, a short, knit dress that works well with a bare leg, or layered over matching leggings. Either way, I love it paired it with the Spectator Cardigan, a button front cardigan for those breezy summer nights and cooler fall days.
And now for the biggest news of all: We are launching Petites!! You asked for it and we are doing it! The ultimate maxi dress will now be offered in Petite sizes as will our new multi-stretch denim will also be offered in Petites in all three new washes! I can’t wait to share this all with you on-air…
So, join me on Sunday, July 25th from 2am-4am. And again on Monday, July 26th from 8am-9am; noon-1pm; and 6pm-7pm. I will be on air to present you this fabulous transitional collection.
Until then, enjoy the rest of your lazy/crazy summer days!
Good vibrations and excitations,
xx

Hi Liz! I have many events to attend in the fall when I will need dresses. I am excited to see how your models look in the dresses that you have in your fall line to be aired this Tuesday, August 24. Please, please wait to show the dresses until the earliest 5pm show. I want to see how the models look in the dresses and accessorize the dresses for the evening. Thanks!
Hi Barb830:
We have two fantastic dresses that you can really dress up or down. I debut the whole new collection at midnight on the 24th. I never know which items they are going to want me to show first so if you can, try to watch that first show, even though it’s kind of late. I also did a fab stretchy silky pair of pants which I think can go quite dressy. I am so excited to show you and everyone all the great looks you can make with just a few perfect pieces.

Liz…love the ultimate maxi dress but had to remove your label because it was iritating my back. The thread (fishwire) used was just awful. Now this was a scary process because of the knit and the tightness of the stitching on label. Please consider a stamped label instead.
Ann
Hi Annielou:
So happy that you love the Ultimate Maxi dress! And thank you so much for letting me know about the label. I will look into it asap!

Hi Liz! I’ve been loving my Maxi dress for a month. Yesterday was the 1st time I saw myself in a well lit, full length mirror. Wow, the dress is even better than I thought. I own a lot of dresses. I wear them almost exclusively from March through Nov. I have to say I don’t own a more figure flattering dress. I’m a 6; the P-XS fits perfectly. The waist is amazing. Please make a 3 season version: 38″ long, 3/4 sleeves, silver or hematite O-rings, + more colors! I’d LOVE Navy! Thanks! – jade, nyc
Hi Jade:
I am so glad that you like the ultimate maxi dress so much and find it as figure-flattering as I do. I love all of your ideas and I do plan to do different versions of it. This October we are doing a tunic version of it with 3/4 length sleeves.

LL
Can’t wait to see your fall collection! I would like to see a jean with a slightly longer rise- 10-10.5″ -to help those of us with muffin tops! Your current jeans have a great & modern cut, but a slightly higher rise would help a LOT of us! Not high waisted or mom jeans, just a great bootcut or even slightly flared leg in dark denim & black -hitting at the natural waist. Also, the back yoke and rear pockets placed a little lower than traditional jeans to help “cut” the length of the bum. THANKS
Hi Kiki:
Thanks so much for your helpful comments about my jeans. Have you tried them? I do find the rise is fairly high (without being too high and mom-jean-like!) I use such a high quality of stretch denim that they have SUPER stretch in them! I think of them as 12 way stretch as they stretch 12 hours a day in every single way. They are actually a customer pick, which I am thrilled about! I will think about all of your tips, though, much appreciated.

Liz-I had the ultimate maxi dress shortend to knee length and it looks UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL. Will get much more use out of this length but it cost me $23.00 to have it shortened :( I truly believe that if you re-do this dress to knee length and add 3/4 sleeves to it, you will sell out within MINUTES of 1st tv viewing! Perhaps you can also change up the neckline to a rounded one & not quite so low cut. Original one shows too much cleavage for me to wear to office.
Please, please re-do.
Hi Am12:
Thanks for all of your fantastic feedback! Be on the lookout this Spring for all of your fabulous ideas. I love them!

Liz, I love your maxi dress and matching cardigan. Could you please bring it back in the turquoise and orange colors? I missed out when they sold out in the spring. Please, please, please!!!!!
Hi Suzysjewels:
Thanks so much for your nice note! I love that dress and of course I will be bringing back again in more fun colors this Spring. And this August and October be on the look out for different versions of that dress (tunic versions, etc.) and other fab drapey cardigans.
xoxo,

Hello Liz, I was wondering if you will be repeating the Maxi Dress eith the O ring gathered at the waist. I would love to get every color, but my size, 3x has sold out in all but the blue. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
Hi Junebaby68:
Thanks so much for taking the time to write! That dress always sells out very quickly so grab the blue, it is my favorite (I wore it on air!) I will bring the dress back next Spring but check out my August and October shows where I will have different versions of it (in October there will be a tunic version with 3/4 length sleeves and matching pull on pants.

Hi Liz, how are you? I love your shows on HSN and I try to watch each time you’re on depending on the time (I’m in California). I was wondering if you would consider making Item # 316-476 Completely Me by Liz Lange Perfect Ponte Knit Jeans in Petite sizes with inseams of 26 or 27? I’m 5′1″ and I wear size 14/16. I’ve been looking for knit jeans every where with no luck and when I saw yours on HSN, I wanted it so bad, but I wanted it in Petite lengths. Thanks so much and I love your clothes.
Hi Sandy:
Thank you so much for watching and for your nice note! I like the idea of doing the ponte jeans in petites and I will speak to my partners at HSN about this. Meanwhile, I am on-air again on August 24th and we are bringing back the ponte 5 pocket jeans and I think you should consider purchasing a pair and just shortening them. They are so fantastic and I truly think they would work on you if you shorten them, which is super easy.

Hi Liz, I LOVE your line. Liz, can you help me? My spine is twisted it has caused my abdomen to be extremely distended on my right side. My belly button is in line with my right breast to give you an idea of how out of shape I am. Liz, I always had a 29″ waist, but now it is the same size as my hips – 40″. I wear PJ’s when I go for my back therapy, and never go out. I don’t know what to wear. Should I wear maternity? Liz, can you think of anything? I would be so grateful…Linda.
Hi Linda:
Thank you so much for writing. I am so sorry, that situation must be very difficult for you. I think maternity clothing might be a good option as would any loose fitting comfortable items. Have you seen my Simply Chic Scoop Neck dress on HSN.com. I think that might work on you.

Hi Liz; I rally do love your maxi dresses. I have black and purple; purple color is amazing. The lenght is fine for me; I just wish that you make this dress with at least short sleeves; 3/4 would be fantastic. As the lenght; the perfect solution would be few lenghts to choose from; shorter, medium and maxi (I myself love maxi). Anyway, thank you for a very deautiful and slimming dresses. DD
I am new to your designs and they are BEAUTIFUL! I love love your new Maxi Dress BUT I need a 3/4 sleeve or long sleeve. So you have any plans on making anymore dresses like that with a sleeve? The short,to the knee, dress is too short.I can;t wait to try one of your designs. Also what would you suggest for a longer flirty skirt with a tunic? Thanks so much.
Hi:
Thanks so much for your nice note. I am so happy that you like my designs. Have you tried my dyed to match drape front cardigan with the maxi dress? It is the perfect set and it gives you full arm coverage. But yes, we are making that same dress into a tunic for fall with 3/4 length sleeves so look for that when I am on air in October. I think all the tunics we are offering right now would be fantastic with a long flirty skirt.

LL
Hi Grandma:
Thanks for your nice note. I agree about adding 3/4 length sleeves to the fab maxi dress and we are doing a tunic version like that for October. But your idea of doing a to the knee length dress like this is also excellent. I am so happy that you like the dress as much as I do.

Hi Liz, Since jumpsuits are back how about a jumpsuit with a little more substance as far as material- ponte knit is a start, but is there a knit with a little bit more substance. I am a teacher and would like a jumpsuit with a cross-over at top, schirring (if possible) and buttons going down the side. I love your line and am anxious to receive the maxi dress. I am putting my warddrobe together for the fall and spring. A jumpstart with long sleeves as well as no sleeves to be worn summer or fal
Hi Classylady:
Thanks so much for taking the time to write. I do love jumpsuits but think they are not always flattering. Ponte knit does have a lot of substance. Have you tried my 5 pocket jeans in ponte knit? They are amazing and with a cute tunic or knit top in the same color could have a jumpsuit effect.
xoxo,
LL
Hi Liz, The other colors are gorgeous (I bought black) but 1 maxi dress is enough for me (don’t wear this length much). Still keeping my fingers crossed that you re-do the ultimate maxi but this time put 3/4 sleeves on it and knee length. Promise to buy an XS in EVERY COLOR if you remake. Saw the new to the knee dress but I don’t think it does justice to a small waist so need to skip this one. Thanks for taking our suggestions seriously.
Hi Liz, I’d love to get some of your Completely Me by Liz Lange Stretch Leggings. They look great; the seaming detail and their weight look perfect. But I’m only 5′2″. The longest legging inseam I can wear is 27″ inseam. I’d love them in petite lengths. If possible in a true purple-violet color. Thanks! ~ jade
Thanks Am. I am doing this dress as a tunic for October and I have added sleeves! I do like your idea of also doing it as a to the knee dress as well. Have you tried the drape front cardigans I do which come in the same colors as the maxi dresses. They look so chic together and they give you full arm coverage….
xoxo,
LL
Hi Jadeyny:
Thanks for your note. What if you bought the leggings and folded up the hem to create a cuff? I think that could be super cute. Meanwhile, I will talk to my partners at HSN about offering them in Petites.
I am offering a great purple colored legging on my August 24th show…

What are the height guidelines for your petites? I am 5′4 and don’t know whether to order regular or petite ultimate maxi dress.
Hope you answer quickly as I don’t want dresses to get sold out before I can order correct length. Thanks.
If I were 5′4″, I’d order the petite length. I’m only 5′2″ and the petite length is too long on me; it’s past my ankle bone and the hem gets caught in between my sandals and my soles when I walk. I think your extra 2″ in height would make the petite a perfect length on you, unless you want the dress to graze your feet. If you do then you should order the regular length. The dress is great, BTW, very flattering.
Hi Liz,
Just got your new black boot cut jeans – LOVE them!
Hi mkpitt:
Thanks so much for letting me know. I am SO happy to hear that you love the new boot cut jeans. I have been living in them.
I hope you will tune in this weekend and Monday when I am on air debuting the entire July collection.

Hi Liz-I really do love the ultimate maxi dress and am waiting for my black xs to be delivered but I would buy several other colors if I could have it shortened to knee length. Can this dress be shortened to knee length and not look funny? Hoping you’ll say that it can be altered to any length.
Hi Am12:
Of course the Ultimate Maxi dress can be shortened to knee length and I think that’s a great idea! Wait until you see all the cute colors we are debuting it in this weekend!! But in addition, I have a great brand new to the knee knit dress that I think you are also going to love.
I can’t wait to hear what you think…
