Your Style Upload: Top 5 Shoe Trends
HSN’s long running show, Fashion Report, is re-launching on February 1st as Style Report. The name change was my idea and HSN was gracious enough to say, “Let’s do it!”
So, what’s in a name? To me, a lot. At its core, style is personal. It’s reflected in absolutely everything we do. Personal style is found in the way we dress, the lip-gloss we choose, the way we decorate our homes, in the shoes we wear. It is the essence of Wednesday night’s Style Report. Find your personal style, and tell the world who you are without ever having to say a word.
Our closets should reflect our personal style. Nothing can drive me absolutely nuts more than having to rummage through a messy closet, desperately trying to find something to wear… something that I love, that is. Why don’t we love everything we have? To those of you who joined me for my Facebook Style Report: Closet Purge, thank you! How great did it feel to get rid of all those old clothes? What you’re left with are the beginnings of a wardrobe that reflects your personal style. And that’s where we come in.
The inaugural Style Report show will feature shoes, the ultimate style-maker. We’ve bought our winter boots, but we’re not quite ready for the sandals we’re seeing…we’re here to tide you over. We’re your style source for the Top 5 mid-season trends:
Peep Toe – Wear them with tights now and you’ll look up-to-date. Lose the tights in May and you’ll thank us for all the wear you’re getting out of them.
Color – You may not want to wear the neon-bright colors of the moment from head-to-toe. Put them on your feet and say goodbye to the winter blues.
Animal print – Animal print dominates the fashion world, but it doesn’t have to dominate your wardrobe. Sprinkle it in with footwear and it’s just the right dose.
Studs – You may not want to totally stock up on this fierce find, but adding it to your footwear is always a ‘fashion do’.
Comfort – Who says comfortable has to be boring? Add an updated ath-leisure shoe to your closet, and you’ll find that your most comfortable shoes don’t have to be something you wouldn’t be caught dead in.

I believe in closet organization. Many years ago a person I respect a lot gave me some advice–IF YOU HAVEN’T WORN SOMETHING IN OVER A YEAR
TOSS IT OUT’. I think we all buy a few trendy items but if we spend the majority of our clothing budget on items that will be as relevant in many years as they are now. I am so excited for Diana’s new show

I too love the Steve Madden colors! I also agree with Diana that we should buy things we love. That’s my motto.
