Sorelle Style: The Guilty Pleasure of Decorating for Christmas in July
Hello, HSN Family… and a very merry Christmas in July!
As we settle into another one of this summer’s unbearable heat waves, fantasies of cold winter nights have taken over my thoughts and have transported me to my own personal winter wonderland.
Before joining the HSN family, the concept of “Christmas in July” event was foreign to us. It seemed so out of sync to be thinking about Christmas when it’s so hot outside! But in all honesty, who wouldn’t love to treat themselves to the joy of the holiday season without the added stress of hanging lights, shoveling snow or shopping in ridiculously crowded malls. So, after eight years of celebrating with pastel-frosted gingerbread cookies and tinsel-decorated palm trees the concept is now as customary as Christmas itself.
Anoush, in general, seems to have the most fun with Holiday decorating, which is exactly how “Operation: Christmas Tree” came about. She’ll kill me for sharing this, but she recently received her specially-designed (and much-anticipated) 12’ Christmas tree. Anoush has been dreaming of this tree to go in her Great Room for years. Now that it’s finally here and the Holiday season is being hinted at, she’s faced with two rather large dilemmas:
1. How to get the massive thing assembled without getting killed by her husband (as he will more than likely get stuck with the assembly task), and
2. How much time, and how many ornaments, will it actually take to deck out her new “accent” piece? Good thing she has about four months to plan, and knowing her, she will quickly put us all to work for a summer dress rehearsal. LOL! Just kidding, Sis!
Other than delicious Christmas cookies, my favorite part of the HSN “Christmas in July” event is giving our fabulous shoppers a sneak peek into the new Sorelle Holiday Collection, and to reveal some new surprise designs like the Sorelle Set of Two Crystal Nutcracker Ornaments, or the Sorelle Bethlehem Star Crystal Christmas Tree… Can’t wait to share the day with you!
Happy Christmas in July Shopping!!
