Sima K: Drama is a Good Idea–When it Comes to Jewelry!
Hi! I just wanted to repost this blog because Sima and I will be together on Tuesday 9/21 at 1pm. She has new treasures…
Sima K is known to her friends as the “Drama Queen”. Don’t take that the wrong way. She likes the title! When you see her jewelry you understand the connection to the title. Sima has been in the gemstone business since she was sixteen. She knows “people”. The right people from the mine to the model makers, gems cutters, setters..the whole A-Z of jewelry! A as in Authentic and Z as in Zircon her specialty is S as in Sapphires (and Sima)!
Sima and I have run into each other at the Tucson Gem Show on more than one occasion. She is always smiling and having a blast while simultaneously being “all business”. This visit at HSN she has innovative stretch gemstone rings, aristrocratic looking necklaces and some gorgeous earrings – the kind you would wear if you were having a portrait painted. Who does that anymore? Dramatic people simply must – I hope so anyway…Sima – do you have a oil painting of you in your gems? I’ll have to ask her on Monday.
She could have a bigger business, but keeps is at a boutique level because she can control things more easily that way. She hand picks the stones she sources, designs the treasure, and then triple checks every detail. If her line was larger she wouldn’t be able to watch over it all with the same attention. Sima doesn’t seem conflicted about this, it seems just right to her. Based on her personality, that seems right to me too.
You want details, here you go: every gem gets to sparkle to the highest level because of the setting front and back. Each heirloom quality ring, necklace, and earring all are finished in such a way as to let light shine through the stones front and back. You’ll see that the inside and back of your new masterpiece is crafted and completed with attention to every detail. All her pendants are enhancers which is very handy to add to your pearls!
One more bit of bragging on Sima – all her factories usually work in Platinum. She has talked them into Sterling Silver plated with Rhodium for us here at HSN. That means we have the best of all worlds! Her access to gems, her designs and HSN’s amazing values combine to deliver the goods.
I do mean goodies if you consider gems as a way to treat yourself well – candy for some, gems for us! Live large and do both :).
See you Monday morning with Sima and her treasures,
