This month I’ve put together a fabulous collection of My Favorite Things fashions for the holiday season up ahead (and no snake skin gaucho pants, I promise!).
You’ll find beautiful sweaters and tops – perfect day to evening looks that can do double duty for work and holiday parties! Look for my favorite Michigan Avenue suede tie front shirt-jacket. I love this piece as it has become a favorite go-to in my closet. We have a super flattering shawl collar tunic top in gorgeous jewel tones, a classy-sexy off shoulder starburst sweater, an ultra slimming color-block top, and many more new favorites I can’t wait to show you!

General comments about My Favorite Things apparel: We listen to all of your comments. We will continue to raise the bar and work on fit (and explaining the way our garments fit) when presenting the items on air. If you are unhappy with the quality of any of the MFT items….we will move on to manufactures who can delivery the quality we’re striving for! Keep you comments coming – we hear you!
My diet: Many of you have asked about my diet – first – thanks for noticing! I’ve managed to lose about 12 pounds so far (but with the holidays I’m sure I’ve gained a couple pounds back!). I’ve been trying to cut out sugar and watch my carb intake (no bread, pasta, etc). When I stick to it -it really works! I still have 10 more pounds to go -wish me luck (I’m a “foodie” so it’s not easy, believe me!).
Terry in Texas – Sorry the X and O ring you’re asking about has been retired (I love this ring!). I will talk to our buyer about bringing in something similar in 2010!

Brook in WI – Thanks for the feedback about our Prestige boxes…I will talk to my buyer about bringing back the charcoal color – My hope is to offer all the classic colors and then continue to add new decorator colors as well!
Joan in Nevada – Thanks for your feedback about the Bra issue with the top you ordered from MFT. I will remember to suggest a bra with wide set straps for tops like the one you had trouble with (I guess all my bras are like this so I don’t have an issue with the straps showing) -but I learned from you that many women don’t own bras like this!

Gail in OR – I am forwarding your feedback to the “powers that be”….When we do a photo shoot for our web site it’s often done months in advance of our actual live show. Every now and then a product will not make it in time for the show – This is what may have happened with the items you’re mentioning. Mary in SC – We are working on the pearl necklace for the May My Fave Things show….I didn’t like the original samples that came back from the manufacturer -so we weren’t able to feature it in November as originally planned.

Regarding hang tags….Yes, ALL my clothing comes with the MFT hang tags – I have never heard of tags not being attached so I’m sure yours was just a fluke – ?I do keep your opinions in mind when choosing items for My Favorite Things. I know you want flattering, fashionable tops you can wear for work (and for going out)…..We are working on a spring version of the faux wrap top (in prints) for our April MFT show! Ginger in CT – My favorite way to clean jewelry is with mild soapy water and a soft bristle brush…..I also can live without my silver polishing cloth!

hi colleen! i have the sterling silver cuff bracelet with interchangeable stones(Item: 516-700)and the extra set of stones but i need MORE STONES. i wear this bracelet several times a week, and would probably wear it every day if i had a red stone, a yellow stone, & a dark blue stone. i also thought maybe some special stones could be sold separately, like a drusy? a rainbow calsilica? an opaque ruby? some of jay king’s colorful jaspers? thanks for considering my idea. love hsn’s jewelry!!!

Hi Colleen, I was wondering if HSN was going to bring back the seed pearl or sometimes called rice pearl necklaces that were sold for $9.90? I would love to get more of these necklaces in different colors because they are great for layering. Have a wonderful Christmas.

Missed out on Amy Kahn Russell’s gold drusy (#378-864) pin/pendant & earrings. I want them!!! Can these be brought back as I am now a collector of her line. I ordered #556-813 yesterday in the pink (my 5th in this collection) & already have the blue which I gave a 5-star rating. Hi Colleen. Will you please do a cuff box that fits large cuffs and only cuffs? I’ve got dozens of large silver cuffs & bracelets (mostly Sajen) tucked out-of-sight in little silver cloth bags. Not good. I think a soft padded layer around the rigid cuff bars in your existing models, with more space between would be helpful.

Last week I saw you on the air with one of computer show and I saw you were wearing a beautiful big bold RED with wite band ring, then couple days later saw you were wearing a very same RED ring but kinda with gold band? Hi Colleen, I just received an email announcing Colleen’s Trunk Show. Amongst the pictured jewelry items was a silver hummingbird earring. Then I clicked on the shop now link and found no such earring. I clicked on the all designer gallery link as well and still no luck. I then searched on HSN under hummingbird and still no luck. Is this earring being offered or not? I hope it wasn’t a teaser.

Well it’s happened again. My neighbors want to buy your marquis & baguette wedding ring that you have sold in 14k (and then technibond I think?)a few years ago. Yes I have been wearing mine to neighborhood parties and they all grab my hand and now they want to buy it. Can you please tell your buyer there is a resurgence of interest in Colleen’s wedding ring.

Please make your XS tops a little SMALLER. I love your line but many times your tops run too big. I wear between a 4 and 6 in the dept. stores so I don’t understand how your XS can be big on me? Please make the faux wrap top into a dress (with 3/4 sleeves)but have it cut a bit smaller thru the bodice. The way the top is now designed, it tends to open too much by the bust and should fit more like the way the M fits on you. I have a feeling that you are more of a size L in dept. stores.
