I am thrilled to say that I just wrapped up my second visit to HSN, and it was incredible. Thank you so much for watching and shopping with me–it’s been a treat!

I’ve been thinking lately about what makes a home “modern”, and what makes a home “traditional”. I think that is no longer something that is black and white. My designs, for example, run the full spectrum; from being very traditional to very modern, and often it is the context of the room that changes how they look. Also, some more traditional pieces of furniture can be updated by just recovering them in a new fabric with a bold pattern or color, and some modern pieces can look much more traditional when surrounded by antiques.

It is fun and easy to make your home look more “current”, even if it is quite traditional, just by adding throw pillows or a vase. Think of it in the same way that you might update your wardrobe each season with just a small accessory that makes you feel fresh and updated.
