Mermaid Princess or First Lady Fashionista – How Do You Wear Your Pearls?
You may have noticed lately on my Facebook page that I posted some shots of our stunning beaches in Florida. For me, peace and natural serenity = the beach, a quiet beach. I think of pearls when I see seashells by the seashore, and I am soothed by the sun-drenched, turquoise water while looking for dolphins. Just went this morning and the dolphins send their love!
Imagine looking down from a cloud at the ocean with coral reefs or pearl farms beneath the shallows.
See what I mean?
Josh Bazar from Imperial Pearls, one of the rock stars appearing on HSN this month, has strong ties to the magical world of South Sea Pearls. He comes from three generations of pearl merchants. Imperial Pearls is one of the oldest and largest collections of South Sea Pearls in the world. Josh has spent some serious time at the farms and is carrying on the traditions his Grandfather started back in 1893.
If you are wondering what to look for when buying a South Sea Pearl, consider what the professional graders look for:
- Luster – high light reflection
- Surface – smooth
- Shape – traditionally round are most valued, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder
- Color – varies by pearl type, so pick your favorite and enjoy the undertones
- Size – the larger pearls have been in the water for longer and usually are the most treasured
This ring is a world-class example of what Imperial Pearls can bring to your wardrobe. If you want to see the trunk show of Imperial Pearls and the entire collection, enjoy the view at HSN.com. Josh is really into Facebook too, so look for him there to directly connect and follow his adventures in pearl acquisitions. I know he wants to know about yours!
How does it make you feel to be decked out in pearls? When I wear them, it makes me feel like a mermaid princess. Okay that might be a fantasy, but dream big! Escape to the South Seas and look lovely everyday (oh so First Lady) with your Imperial Pearls. You can tell your friends that Josh and his family created them just for you.
More soon to blog about! The end of January brings The Tucson Gem Show and a special visit from Matthew Fautz of Heritage Gems. I do hope these tropical scenes have warmed you.
Rock On!
