Meet Lauren
As the Fashion Director of HSN, I get to see anything and everything that comes through our “fashion gates”. Fortunately, we love almost everything – with some items standing out as big “winners” and others that are, well let’s say, better left not mentioned!
I often get asked, “How did you get into Fashion? How did you get to HSN? Do you LOVE your job!?”
Well, I have always loved fashion, obsessed with fashion is probably more like it. As early as I can remember I used to have play dates in my closet where the activity was “making outfits.” I could live in my closet as a child, fortunately all of that “playing” has paid off.
While attending college I focused heavily on fashion and began building my career through internships at high-end fashion magazines, working in the fashion offices of a top department store, being a personal stylist at a designer boutique, researching top American designers in one of world’s best museums.
Soon afterwards, I became a Fashion Market Specialist at one of the top fashion trend forecasting agencies in the world. There I covered the Contemporary/Designer market, which basically means spending all of my days in the best fashion showrooms that New York City has to offer. Now, my fashion sandbox was getting bigger! I learned the ins and the outs of Seventh Avenue (the fashion industry’s Rodeo Drive of showrooms) focusing on fashion trends for all ages, budgets, and styles. I worked with every retailer in the country from designer to mainstream and everyone in between.
After covering all of Seventh Avenue, I headed south to Soho, to the offices of an innovative and leading high-end specialty retailer. In this role, I was fortunate to wear many different fashionable hats learning more than anyone could learn in a lifetime. I traveled the globe to some of the most exclusive fashion houses in the world – London, Florence, Milan, Paris, Greece – you name it - it was my graduate degree program so to speak!!
So I took my degree and brought it to you…So yes, I LOVE my job, but more importantly I absolutely LOVE bringing my experience and knowledge to all of you. Educating you on fashion and everything that is involved within this fabulous world!
I promise to write about the fashion truth, giving you the tips, secrets, must-haves, and all around “goings on” within OUR closets to make sure that you are the most educated and well dressed women out there!
Always,
Lauren

I agree with the previous comments. More high end clothing, shoes and handbag! Looking to build a collection of quality items that I love, so I would be willing to pay more and buy fewer items. Thanks.
Good Job. Your choices are very good. Love the variety you show the viewers. I would love to see more high end clothing,.shoes even if they are only one timers, example : from Elle, New york, Anne Klein, Calvin Klein.Oleg Cassini. Although I have seen a wider variety lately. Thank you from a country girl that only gets to the cities rarely.
Well alright and welcome to our world. (Love from a big Terry chick.)
