Mary J. Blige Gives Live Performance and Sells Out of My Life Blossom!
What’s better than a Mary J. Blige appearance? Why, a Mary J. Blige performance of course!
The award-winning singer returned to HSN on November 30 to sell her Carol’s Daughter My Life Blossom Holiday Gift Sets as part of HSN’s 24 Hour Beauty Gift event.
While it’s always a joy to watch Mary sell her fragrance live on set, it was pure unadulterated fun watching her perform live!
She belted out classics such as “No More Drama,” and songs from her new album My Life II…The Journey Continues (Act 1).
My new favorite MJB jams include “25/8” and “Need Someone.” (Side note: I made sure to tell Mary what a beautiful song “Need Someone” is and she agreed saying that it gives her goose bumps when she sings it!)
Her glam team (which included the amazing celebrity stylist Marni) made sure that she looked extra fly while on set and I must say that I loved the black sequined Michael Kors jumpsuit and YSL wedges she rocked during her 10 p.m. performance.
I also loved how Deborah Lippmann (who was also featured in the 24 Hour Beauty Gift event) popped by Mary’s green room to say hi and paint her nails a festive, shimmery red.
Within minutes after the performance, the My Life Blossom Holiday Gift Set (which included the My Life Blosom Eau De Parfum, Body Lotion, Shower Cream and HSN-Exclusive My Life II…The Journey Continues (Act 1) CD and download card) was sold out! (Which, btw, is like the best feeling in the world when you’re on live TV and sell out of a product because there are just so many ways you could screw up.)
Of course, Mary and Carol’s Daughter founder, Lisa Price, were super grateful to all who called in to show their support for the My Life Blossom fragrance and Mary said that she can’t wait to return next year with a new scent for everyone!

I agree…where is the My Life Blossom perfume? I have bought many different perfumes in my time…but this one by far is the best i’ve ever had! I’m talking out of designer, expensive perfumes…i don’t go cheap on fragrance. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring us back the My Life Blossom Ms. Blige! I hope you find a way because you have a big fan club/audience for it!!
I have been a longtime shopper w/HSN and spend a good amount of money with the network. However, I am very disappointed in HSN and lack of Mary J. Blige products. Wonder if this is going to be a situation similar to that of the sudden disappearance of Terry Lewis and her fashion line. I certainly hope not.
Why are all of MJ products on clearance? Will it be discontinued?
