Dear Jay, On my previous HSN visit I purchased a turquoise pearshaped ring with a scalloped band and I have noticed what I believe to be a crack in the stone. How can I find out if it is a crack or maitrix? If it it is a crack can you fix it for me?
J-I came across ur wide silver bypass ring with 5 black pearls in an Annapolis Md collectibles/antique shop-same price-was marked “Jay King” on tag-I had looked online just recently with only the other stones available-decided it was probably too wide 4 my ring finger-I was right-looks terrible on my ring finger but this ring is probably a size 8, looks terrific on my middle finger-Who knew! The ring is far prettier than picture-This design would make fantastic CLIP earrings! ??? Just sharing!
Bought some of your jewelery for my wife and she loved it. She got a necklace and I got some Apartment Size Furniture for my man cave. Thought is was a fair deal!
Hi Jay,
Received your lapis bowl yesterday. Is it natural to have 2 long lines of white running through the bowl? The lapis is pretty but the long white lines running through it looks weird. I know you used different ingredients to make it but can’t understand why the white lines are solid long streaks approximately 6 inches long each and sticks out. I also have your turquoise bowl and between the two, love the turquoise one better. What other color bowls do you plan for the future?
Jay,
I have been very happy with most of your designs. They are definitely unique. I do have a question for you. I purchased a lovely Ammolite pendant while in Alaska a couple of years ago. Is there any chance your might include some of this lovely and colorful stone in your collections?
DEAR MR KING PLEASE READ!!!! I am trying to get a hold of you personally,I went through C.S, they directed me to your blog. I have watched you for years so I truely respect your mind finds. I have in possession 2 very unusual rocks found in the mountains, I have tried to find a professional gemologist where I Live can’t find one. I want to describe these rocks to you but do not want to put this on a open blog, if there is anyway to get back to me please do, so I can find what I have here.Thnx
Hello dearest Jay! I know you’re a busy man but I figure you never get sick of hearing how much we love your jewelry. I just received your 3 strand malachite necklace (#370980) and it is incredible! I have so many of your pieces but this is definitely a new favorite. My friends don’t understand my excitement and always say, “it’s just jewelry!” But it’s not. It’s an expression (for me) of my love for nature and different places. Thanks for bringing your pieces to us! ~Alison, RI xo
Hi Jay,, I am really looking forward to your May show….I will have to catch it on the internet as I will be traveling. I have a request. I would love to purchase some cuff links that have gems such as lapis, or coral, or turquoise would be wonderful. Safe journeys. Regards from Janice in Santa FE.
Help Jay,
One of my turqoise hoop earring broke in half. I love these earrings. Can one be replaced or do I have to buy a new set?
No please go to customer service keyword Jay King Mine Finds. That will give you an address. Please send to my attn: or Jill. Just send them back and I’ll send you a new pair. Best J
Thanks J your the Best!
Hello Jay,
Love your jewelry, I was showing my husband your bracelet with magnets. Now he would like to know how he could buy them for his photos.
I would like to see some jewelry in fire opal doublets. I had a set we bought in Gallup NM, from a dealer. Unfortunately the set was stolen when someone broke into our home.
Looking forward to your answers.
Hi I’m not quite sure what your asking me for as far as the magnets. Does he want just the seperate magnet? I have fire opals coming up. As you might be aware 95% of fire opals come from Australia. They are getting quite hard to come by as of late, but I do have a few. J
I love your jewelry and I have alot of pieces. I wish you could put a card stating what stone the jewelry is when you ship out items. I have so many pieces I don’t remember what gemstones they are. I get alot of compliments on your pieces and people ask what it is and I don’t remember. If I had a romance card or information card I could keep with each piece it would be helpful. I plan on handing these wonderful pieces down to my children and I want them to know what they are. Thank you!
We have had this requested many times. The problem comes when we ship them to HSN’s warehouse. If the cards become seperated from the jewelry or the wrong card is placed in the box it becomes a huge problem. We have been working on a web site that hopefully we can post pictures of the stone and it’s name. As you know there are so many of them Best J
HI JAY,
CAN YOU MAKE ANY NECKLACES WITH JUST PEACH QUARTZ? I HAVE AN IDEA FOR YOU. CAN YOU MAKE A TREASURE NECKLACE WITH LEFTOVER STONES IN A LARIET STYLE YOU JUST KNOT IT YOURSELF? IT WOULD BE ONE LONG OPEN STAND WITH NO CATCH. 30- 36 INCHES. ONE COULD BE IN SOFT SPRING COLORS AND THE OTHER IN EARTH COLORS. WHEN ARE YOU DOING THE GLOBES AGAIN? I WANT TO BUY SOME. EVERYBODY SAYS YOU SOULD DO A BOOK OF THE ROCKS YOU USE. YOU COULD DO A MINES FIND PASSPORT BOOK. PLEASE REPLY.
LINDA
These are good suggestions. We’ve done a long open ended necklace in coral and it was a big hit. I’ll think about revisiting it. I didn’t do the globes. just the bowls. I’m not sure when she might be bringing them back. I’ve thought of the the passport already and it would fit well with what I do. Best J
Hi Jay,
I love your jewelry. Is it possible to purchase your necklace closures(hooks)? I would like to change some of my other necklaces to that type of closure. Save me a turquoise bowl! Thanks…
Sharon
Hi Sharon, just go to customer service key word Jay King. It will give you an address to write to us at. Just tell us how many you need and I’ll arrange to get them to you. Best J
Jay, thousands of people say they are your greatest fan, so I join the throng. I own dozens and dozens of your pieces and wish I owned more. You TEACH so well, I want to read a book by you. I love it that to what most people is a rock, to you is a revered thing of beauty. I adore wearing “pieces of rock” way more than precious gemstones. I notice that you have made some beautiful crosses. Would you consider making a rosary out of quartz, tigers eye or jasper etc? Many would love & purchase that!
Thanks for your idea. I have done rosearys in the past for friends I’ll think about doing one for the show. Thanks for the ideas and kind words. Best J
Jay – I love the mookite, and bought one of your mookite necklaces a few years back. Since that time, I’ve been waiting for a coordinating ring and earrings. I was thrilled to see you bring back another mookite necklace – but again, no matching pieces. Would you please make a ring and earrings out of the mookite, so that those of us who have purchased these beautiful pieces can create a set? Thanks in advance…
Thanks I just got back from Australia and go back in June again. I will try and work that in I did obtain some wonderful new rough J
Jay, please consider adding some sterling silver 2-2 1/4L honey amber earrings and a matching ring to your line. I am ready to buy!
Hi Jay.I have purchased quite a few of your beautiful work-of-art pieces of Jewelry.I love them all.I was wondering if you will ever be able to obtain any more Cypress Petrified Wood Rough in order to make a few more Cypress Petrified Wood Beaded Necklaces with the Cypress Wood Pendants again sometime in the near future?I was on a Waiting List for this Item about three times, but it was then cancelled each time.I would really love to have this fine piece! Please let me know about this piece!
I just got some new material from Australia. It’s a little darker than the American material, but it will be coming late in the year. J
Jay: I am ladybug28 and I failed to mention how much I love your jewelry. I especially love tiger’s eye necklace bracelet and earrings I purchased from you. It has the 3 colors of tigers eye and the clasps are magnetic.
Another request, I need yellow stone accessories. Can you help me out? Thank you so much.
Jay,
I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you. I absolutely love your jewelry, your knowledge, and your passion for your work. I don’t miss a show because of all the information about the gemstones…it’s like a virtual classroom (and you are great teacher). I don’t know who I love more, you or your jewelry.
Thank you Jay.
Thanks so much for your kind words. We’re one big happy family and that is what really makes it work. J
Hi Jay. I ordered the multigemstone cabachon pendant and pearl necklace (#552-012). It says in the description that the triangle-shaped stone is rhodochrosite, however Rachel said it was pink opal. Would you be able to clarify which one it is? I love your jewelry and have probably 75 pieces. You’re terrific. Thanks so much. Gloria
It’s Rhodocrosite from Argentina. Best J
Hi Jay,
Your April shows were wonderful — so many new stones, and that prehnite, what a gorgeous color! My request is to make more enhancers, rather than large bales. The enhancer style can easily clip on bigger beads and also go on omegas, but the large bales only go on certain size beads. I am now layering many of your pieces, since I have more and more and want to wear them everyday, I have to wear at least two necklaces at a time! You’ve opened me up to the world of opaque gemstones.
I’m so glad you’ve found us. We are in the process of making more stand alone enhancers with magnetic bales. Best J
HI JAY I have a suggestion for you I would like to know if it is possible for you to offer just pendants and enhancers without the necklace I would love to buy the pendants or enhancers by itself so I can wear them with my omega necklace.THANK YOU
Hi Jay.I was able to watch two of your Shows on the April 10th & 11th weekend.I really enjoy listening to your stories about your travels and about all of the beautiful stones you find and make into fine quality jewelry.I have several pieces of your jewelry, including the Peach Steatite Necklace.Ilove them all!Could you please send me two pieces of rough, size 3×3x1, One piece of Rainbow Calcilica, and One Piece of Peach Steatite?Be safe, and have fun in all of your travels,Jay
Hi Carol if you go to customer service keyword Jay King it will give you an address to write us at and make your request. I have the Raiinbow cal-silica in stock but no peach Steatie at this time . J
Jay, I love your jewelry. I have many, many, many pieces and always get compliments when I wear them which is most of the time. Could you consider making smaller rings? My fingers aren’t very large and also smaller earrings. I have small ears and short hair. I feel really funny in big errings. Keep up the fabulous work.
Thanks we make our rings down to size five. Thats about as small as we can go. I do make smaller earrings from time to time, but I’ll put it on my list. Best J
My first purchase was a number of years ago when I was lucky enough to grab an adjustable necklace and bracelet set for $19.95. Made from leftovers of different shapes and sizes in earthtones, you were trying to clear out stock and only had a small number to offer. I have gotten so much wear out of that set and always receive compliments when I do. So thank you, Jay, for many great pieces, expecially my first!
Thankyou so much I’m glad you like the design. Those were treasure sets. Best J
