Happy Sweet 16 Absolute! Here’s to the Past, Present and Future!

Do you love Absolute? I adore it. Didn’t think I would until I saw it in person. I am a passionate jewelry lover and I couldn’t imagine that I would ever find an alternative to natural Diamonds that I would think was worthy. Don’t get me wrong, I love natural Diamonds. You can mix your stones! It is nice to have choices. Think about what it must have been like before CZ was an option. My mom had some great rhinestone pieces she would pull out when she wanted to go glitzy, but what girl wouldn’t love to wear the look of D Flawless instead?

When I look at the night sky and I see stars twinkling, I imagine Christmas lights, or the Light of Heaven peaking through to remind us of the vastness of the Universe. Those stars are full of fire and brightness, just like Diamonds..just like Absolute. Over the years, when customers call in during the Absolute shows, I have noticed how particularly enthusiastic and excited they are about finding that perfect ring, or stud earrings or gift. Once you try Absolute it is easy to be enthusiastic about it because it imparts that fire and flash that Diamond dreams are made of. Would be disappointed to wear a 3 carat D Flawless Diamond ring? Would you turn one down if someone gave it to you? Right!

When I got engaged, I picked an Absolute as a “practice” ring. I still wear it to this day almost 7 years after we said “I do”. My bands are Diamond (certainly not D Flawless) but when I put on my engagement ring, it is the original that met me with my sweet husband at the end of the aisle. No one can tell the difference between my genuine natural Diamond bands and my Absolute – the look for less. There are countless stories of women who settled when it came to their engagement rings. You don’t have to anymore, even if you have been married for decades!

All of our Absolute Designers are going to be joining us for the big event. Since Jean Dousset Absolute launched in 2007, he has quickly become a favorite of yours. His elegant “high jewelry” designs have graced many celebrity clients. He brings the same eye for design and workmanship to his Absolute collection. Jean actually celebrates his own 4th anniversary on 10/11, but insisted on coming in for the Absolute 16th anniversary with a special assortment just for the event. Xavier Absolute launched in 2002 and opened up the extensive archive of Franz Xavier, the first person to work with Platinum in fine jewelry in America. These exquisite designs, spanning a design period from the Victorian era through the Retro era, are as beloved today as they were back then! For this event, Xavier Absolute will be bringing back some popular Edwardian inspired reorders, as well as many new unique designs inspired by the Edwardian and Art Deco eras. Jay Feingold will be back again next month to celebrate the 9th Anniversary of Xavier Absolute on 10/25! Another Happy Anniversary Wish to Jay!

LAURA M. Absolute launched in May of this year and so far has been received by rave reviews. Laura M. has been a designer and proprietor of her fine jewelry boutique in LA since 1992. She believes jewelry is an integral part of fashion & style, meant to be worn every day. Laura will be bringing back one of her best selling styles, the “Box of Chocolates” Ring, which was last seen in her May premiere. She will also be featuring a wide variety of new silhouettes & colors, including a beautiful Lavender Absolute color.
