Happy New Year!
As we get ready to say goodbye to an old year and ring in a brand new one – I wanted to thank you all for the most amazing year ever!! I will always remember 2009 – this past year marks my 15th year at HSN – it’s been an incredible journey!
As I look back, I think of the difficult decision my family made so many years ago to leave our home state of Minnesota to embark on a new adventure by moving to Florida for my new job at HSN. I spent many sleepless nights back then wondering if my husband and I were making the right decision to leave the home and people we loved and moving our sons (ages 11 and 9 at the time) to the Tampa Bay area. I’ve learned a lot in the past 15 years working and raising a family in Florida (without my extended family near by), and one thing I know for sure: Our decision to make a change and take that “Leap of Faith” has been filled with blessings.
I want you to know, I count you all among the many things I’m thankful for. It’s a gift to have a job that allows you to connect with people from all over the country in a way that is meaningful and real. You are what inspire me most! Even though we’re all different – we’re the same in so many ways! I loving helping you learn about exciting people, places and things….It’s what we strive to do best at HSN – and your thirst for knowledge and interest in the products we sell makes the time we share together most rewarding for me.
My wish for you for the new year is to discover new and beautiful horizons. If there’s something you’ve been wanting to do, or a change you’ve been wanting to make….Let 2010 the be the year to make it happen! One thing I’ve learned about making tough decisions – when they’re made with an open mind and open heart – blessings will always follow :)

Dog Pins!!! Thank you for all the requests for new Dog Pins in your favorite breeds. I will forward all your requests to my buyer and see we can bring them in for the May My Favorite Things show!
Black off shoulder top/with white ruffle blouse: Many of you have asked about this top….It’s in the works for My Favorite Things and will be featured in the spring – Stay tuned!
General comments about My Favorite Things apparel: We listen to all of your comments. We will continue to raise the bar and work on fit (and explaining the way our garments fit) when presenting the items on air. If you are unhappy with the quality of any of the MFT items….we will move on to manufactures who can delivery the quality we’re striving for! Keep you comments coming – we hear you!
My diet: Many of you have asked about my diet – first – thanks for noticing! I’ve managed to lose about 12 pounds so far (but with the holidays I’m sure I’ve gained a couple pounds back!). I’ve been trying to cut out sugar and watch my carb intake (no bread, pasta, etc). When I stick to it -it really works! I still have 10 more pounds to go -wish me luck (I’m a “foodie” so it’s not easy, believe me!).
Terry in Texas – Sorry the X and O ring you’re asking about has been retired (I love this ring!). I will talk to our buyer about bringing in something similar in 2010!
Linda in NJ – I’m so happy you like your My Favorite Things rose top and jeans….Be sure to mark your calendar for Feb. 2nd – I’ll have a new MFT Today’s Special that I think you’ll love!
Brook in WI – Thanks for the feedback about our Prestige boxes…I will talk to my buyer about bringing back the charcoal color – My hope is to offer all the classic colors and then continue to add new decorator colors as well!
Joan in Nevada – Thanks for your feedback about the Bra issue with the top you ordered from MFT. I will remember to suggest a bra with wide set straps for tops like the one you had trouble with (I guess all my bras are like this so I don’t have an issue with the straps showing) -but I learned from you that many women don’t own bras like this!

I’ve been watching HSN for 10 years and I love shopping with HSN and watching you host a show. The reason why I am writting to you is because I have an idea about the Passport to Fine Jewelry 14K Etruscan Hoop Earrings. I think these earrings would be great if there were sold at a reasonable price being made out of technobond. Even if a similar style was made. This product would sell quick. Please let me know your thoughts.

I also loved the black/turguoise top and grey sequined sweater you recently wore. Please make it available for your MFT clothing line so that we all can purchase. People will spend more $ for QUALITY so please don’t use cheap material, ect. Also, please don’t make your scoop neck tops so lowcut. I am a therapist and CAN NOT show cleavage at my office. Would you consider making your clothes in size xxs also? Many times your xs size is still too big for size 4 people. THANKS!

I have been trying to catch your necklace boxes for quite a while. Any idea when they might be back? I love the idea and they would be so useful for keeping my necklaces available and in good condition.

I am a big girl and I just want to thank you for telling us the size of bracelets and what size the bracelets will fit. You and Suzanne are the only host that gives us that information. With the other host I will watch the whole presentation and they will not give that inf. I wish that you could pass that information on to the other host and managers. Also shoe sizes, I wear a size 12; I watch the whole presentation and never get the size. I love and appreciate you.

I would like to see a wide band with a very large Peridot stone in a ring. All the peridot rings have small stones. Also a pendant to match. and not too light a green peridot.
