Here it comes!

Happy 2009! I know this is going to be an amazing year. While you may be thinking of how you are going to simplify your life and lighten your burdens. I hope you will be super successful in all your efforts.

As we simplify, it makes me think quality vs. quantity in so many areas of our lives. As far as the gemstone jewelry hsn is going to be bringing in for the year goes it is gorgeous! You are going to be amazed by the quality and even if you can only pick up a special ring here and there, we are going to make it special and a great value.

On January 20, it is Gem Day at HSN and the Today’s Special is amazing. The color and fashion combined with the craftsmanship of what Veronica Dezberg has pulled together for you is truly spectacular. You know Veronica from ’Designs by Veronica’. We call her Vera – she is full of fun, a love of design and is totally obsessed with what you want in jewelry.  You can find out more about her in the Designer Gallery section of HSN.com. If you love the color of turquoise blue, pearls and feel that stones have energy, you are going to want the Gem Day Today’s Special.

There is a treasure chest of Sima K sapphires, Ruby Ying in silver, and a new line of gemstones with designer, Zoe B that I will be launching for you.  Celebrating her 1st anniversary, Justine Simmons will be showing off her ‘Brown Sugar Jewelry’. Those chocolate diamonds and designs are so mouth-watering.

The Buyers are in Italy right now working on shows for Fall. I can’t wait to tell you about what they have discovered there. I’ll be walking the Tucson Gem show with the Buyers. We are gearing up for lots of gem finds there too. Speaking of the Buyers, I have always wanted to take you behind the scenes to one of there meetings. Here is a photo from a recent one that I totally disrupted. I didn’t mean too, but I had to get a picture for the blog!

Also coming up is Chinese New Year. So if you love Jade be sure to watch for the special event. We have your Jade in silver and gold. Experience the power of Jade to wear all year. I will be doing a couple of the shows. I have to say they are the prettiest yet!

Then in March Victoria Wieck is launching her gemstone collection in Sterling Silver with a Today’s Special (stay tuned!). We recently had dinner together when I was in California for gem school. She was wearing the Today’s Special and I couldn’t stop staring at it. You are going to LOVE it. Sorry to be mysterious, but I can’t tell you what it is YET.

It is going to be a great year for your jewelry collection at HSN. Thanks for all your good thoughts on my GIA studies – they are coming along! I had a great training session in Carlsbad, CA at the world headquarters and learned some really interesting things about synthetic stones vs. mother natures’ creations. I have now have identified my 500 stones so next up is passing the 20 stone exam! Deep breath!! I’ll keep you posted. Whatever your goals are in 2009, may they be brought to fruition with joy and without adversity and be for your highest good!
