Hi there, gals!
Summer is only a hop, skip and a jump away, and classic-seafaring chic is a favorite style of mine this time of year.
However, I chose to take a more modern “everyday” approach to the trend while still giving a nod to all things nautical. It’s classic, crisp and oh-so-regatta thanks to the blue, the white and the splash of stripes.
How fun is it that this striped skinny scarf doubles as a darling bag accessory?! Versatility at its finest.
But do you know what I love most about this casual summer ensemble?
Well, there are actually 4 things that I adore to pieces…
1. The shoes!
These woven block heel slides are not only comfy and cute but they also go with EVERYTHING under the sun. Try to find an outfit that these babies don’t look ahhhmazing alongside? It’s really difficult (actually virtually impossible…) unless you’re on your way to a gala or your very own wedding. P.S. I recommend sizing up a half size.
2. A crisp cotton top.
The knotted detail makes for an extra flattering fit that I am ALL ABOUT. It’s my most recent easy-chic essential. Another spring/summer piece that goes with nearly every pant in my closet? #YesPlease
3. This comfy pair of girlfriend jeans.
Clearly I love these cuties. I’ve styled them twice already… with DARLING embroidered sneakers and also alongside this intricate bell sleeve top. But, the best part is, their crazy-good price tag!
4. This white tote.
It’s made of quality saffiano leather and the interior pockets = organizational bliss. Side note: the skinny striped blue scarf adds a little extra oomph to the classic silhouette, wouldn’t you say?
