Excursion to Italy: All Aboard!
The long line of artisan tradition in Italy is still going strong today, not just on the historical cobblestone streets of Italy, but here on HSN. On April 26th, we are bringing the best of Italy to you. Our Today’s Special is from Bellezza and Paul Woods. He is bringing in an incredible bracelet to anchor the event. Discover Bellezza Jewelry, a collection of Italian-inspired, fine jewelry designs meticulously recreated in bronze and gilded with precious metals. Paul’s vision of luxury has guided some of the most famous design houses in the world. To add even more WOW to the event our dear friend, Luigi Marostica, is coming in from Italy for the day. He brings us La dea Bendata Sterling Silver Jewelry that has been lovingly made in his family’s workshop.
Luigi’s pizzazz and panache with an eye for fashion always impresses me. You all have made him feel so welcome at HSN, and he is part of the family now. I love how he passes all of his design ideas by his wife – smart guy! If your heart goes pitter-patter when you hear the words gold, silver, Omega, Spiga, handcrafted and diamond-cut in the same sentence, your jewelry awaits you on April 26th. Not only will you see Luigi’s exclusive line of sterling silver known as “Lucky Lady” (La dea Bendata), but you’ll also see gorgeous Italian gold-link jewelry. Those of you who crave exquisite gold and sterling silver are in luck!
When you think of Italy, what comes to mind? Food? Tourists? Statues? Gondolas? I think of fine jewelry! You may have been lucky enough to visit Italy. Was a highlight the jewelers on the famous Ponte Vecchio in Florence? It was for me. I went in between my senior year of high school and my first year of college. That trip to Florence’s oldest bridge changed me forever. It was there that my passion for jewelry really began to intensify.
Jewelry has always spoken to me. I’ve been in love with Indian jewelry since birth. On this trip, seeing Italian jewelry that rivaled my love for Indian Mogul jewelry was a revelation. It was right out of a book, a museum, a movie and an opera all at the same time. Okay, it was dramatic! The whole thing, the sights, the sounds, and the jewelry – it was breathtaking. Born into a family business of handicrafts, I appreciated the legacy of these artists and shop owners. Their pride and commitment to their art made for a lasting impression. Whether you are making a bracelet or bread, or a bell or a boat, a family-run operation usually means superior quality. (Thanks mom and dad for showing me that all my life.)
No trip to Italy would be complete without a little spa pampering! Skip, Amanda and Katie Borghese will also bring us bath and body products and Casa Di Francesca home fragrances. A perfect mix: necklace jewelry in gold and silver, Italian beauty for you and your home, and some of our favorite Italians!
My shows start at 2 p.m. I don’t need to pack a bag and neither do you. Join me for the best of Italian luxury! Ciao’ for now!
