Hello HSN fans,
I am so excited to be able be stay in touch with you between my shows on HSN and talk about the latest trends in hair, quick how-to’s and, most of all, to have the opportunity to hear from all of you about your “hair” needs. I have always believed that every woman should have sexy hair that moves. So let’s talk about hair.
After many years as a celebrity stylist in L.A., (I’ve worked with just about everybody), an editorial stylist in the New York fashion circuit and then opening my own salons, I have always wanted to connect with customers and share some of my best tips for great hair.
What’s fun about hair is that trends change all the time and with a few little tips and tricks you can update your look–easy.
And of course, it ‘s always been my dream to put my ideas into products. I can’t tell you how many times I was on a shoot without the right products to get the effect we needed. I always found that they were so heavy and greasy. Oftentimes, I would mix up my own to make it work.
So what’s hot in 2011..
The hottest trend in hair is the look of healthy hair that’s natural, loose and sexy. To get the look, ask your stylist to frame your face with some layers. I always spray a little Mineral Spray on the tips of the hair to let the layers move.
Just in from the Golden Globes, a neat pulled back bun with a side part, glossed to natural perfection. First make a loose ponytail at the back of the neck, then begin to twist the pony around into a bun. Then, pin it–just four large pins will do. Wearing the bun a little looser gives it a fresh and modern style. My Smooth Fix Styling Spray is just the finishing touch needed for that red carpet shine.
So tell me what you think…
