Don’t Just Buy Clothes, Build a Wardrobe with Antthony Design Originals
THE STORY: The Designer’s Voice
Rich, captivating and sporty are the three words that describe the Antthony Originals fall 2010 sportswear collection. My vision was to mix exotic textiles with brilliant, bold colors to create artistic silhouettes to match the season.
Most designers use an icon or a destination for their inspiration, but to me it is all about pulling the shapes out of my head and putting them into the textiles. For this collection, I used exclusive textile patterns which were custom designed for each silhouette and bridge traditional patterns with abstract shapes. The use of color and placement of the art was so important to really support the clean silhouettes created for this season.

Every style in the collection is designed with versatility and comfort in mind. Each of these pieces can literally be worn from day to evening wear, with no fuss. They all have an easy to wear quality to them, making them ideal for any busy woman. After many hours of research and design time in my Los Angeles studio; here are a few of my favorite pieces from the fall 2010 sportswear collection.

Antthony Sporty Chic Twofer Cardigan and Pant Set
When you have only five minutes to decide what to wear, reach for this sporty, chic pant set. The knit cardigan fabric has the hand of the finest cashmere, accompanied with a soft knit shell underpinning framed. French poet’s grosgrain ribbon and buttons dyed to match complete the outfit. The pocket placement is perfect adding an unexpected clean design to the linear shape of the cardigan. The new shape of the trouser is fantastic and clean, yet still offers a lot of ease in the thigh area to fit appropriate to all body types.

Antthony Opulent Textures Dress
To date, this is the most elaborate dress released from the Antthony studio. The empire bodice is a work of art as it softly pours into an A-line shape skirt which is the most flattering shape for all women. The intricate design has layers of sheer knit with a one of a kind textile design that captures the feeling of the season. Spice and opulent jewel tones celebrate together to create a dreamy, sophisticated, angelic dress. Worn with high shaft boots or comfortable wedges, this dress is a season winner.

Antthony Charming Cardigan and Tank Set Item: 958-292
Antthony Absolutely Charming Cardigan and Tank Set
Treat yourself to this self indulgent cardigan set and feel feminine and powerful. With three-quarter length sleeves and layers of hand set ruffles framing the neckline, I consider this the new power suit. The slightly elongated shape softly nips the waistline with a magnificent hidden hook and eye closure to keep a neat appearance. The new style tank is a V-neck with a smooth finish. This is by far the most couture inspired design in the collection.

This versatile tunic offers a sleek new level of style and glamour from Antthony which can be worn as a dress or married with a jean or easy knit pant. The elaborate pleated tunic radiates out to hand-sculpted, angel-like sleeves. The waistline features a Japanese origami belt made of soft sheen satin that adjusts in the back. The skirt is a fluid A-line style made of light, soft chiffon fully lined in a soft pliable textile. This is a spirited look to add to your fashion collection.

With a simple toss over the shoulder, this all-season rauana provides comfortable beauty. The classic hounds tooth feel married with Antthony’s flawless draping skills makes this savvy accessory a great solution for a chilly day. It can also pair with anything in your wardrobe from berry, smoke camel and brown, black and charcoal. Milan! Think Paris! Think New York fashion week! Antthony delivers trendsetting couture inspired detail in this newest skirt set from his studio. The blouse is a ripple of textures and flower-like shapes which frame the shoulder and explode into a full asymmetrical bouquet. Then the whimsical sleeves complete the look with a delicate petal shape. The flip skirt swirls and flows in a feminine movement reminiscent of a dress worn on your first date or high school prom. Out of all the styles in the entire collection this one is at the top of the list for any wardrobe. You will attract lingering looks when you wear this ensemble!

Hi Antthony, I just bought my first piece from you and I will be buying so much more from you. I purchased the convertible pants and I fell in love with the feel and the look texture of them, so I went to the computer to order a pair of brown and in my size 16 petite they were sold out. but I can see why.I also bought your tunic art top but it was to big for me so I needed to reorder and hope it comes in soon. I miss the cotton caftan’s you once offered. I have totally worn to shreds (literally) a turquoise tie-dyed long caftan with a fringe on the bottom. It also has a purple and bright lime green stripe at the bottom. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. It is cool for summer, washes like a dream, and doesn’t cling to places it shouldn’t. It is perfect for walking the dog.
Hi Antthony! I LOVE YOUR DESIGNS, the fabrics and sizing. I have several pieces and get many complements. I was wondering if you are going to continue to make your motorcycle jeans. I missed out on the last showing and am looking forward to getting them in gray. What are my chances of “wowing” my friends and family with these terrific jeans?

Oh Antthony, I adore you and own MANY of your garments. I JUST opened my latest order of the 3 tiered cardigan sweater in black. Last season I bought two of them, brown and turquoise. I LOVE them. They are so comfy and soft and generous. This new one, you can see right through it, it’s several inches shorter and skimpy in size. WHAT HAPPENED?? I will keep it cause I love the style, but it isn’t the same quality I’m used to from you. Still one of your girlz!!
I must admit that at 1st I thought Mr. A was Fresh . I hadn’t heard about him before HSN and thought his ideas had a bold edge to them.
Then unfortunately I saw the quality in the clothing slip and I thought he was another 1 hit wonder. But a couple of months ago I started to watch A. again and not only was he fresh, but he was playing his “A” game :). Today I saw the UNICEF Bag on his site and he has won my heart forever. I liked and purchased the striped navy poncho. Again would have liked
in a v neck. It is lightweight for spring/summer white pants and navy
capris.
For spring/summer could you have some basic nautical blue/white and
red/white tees. They were hard to find this year.
Hi Antthony. I received money for my birthday. Planned to put it in the bank. Woke up at 4am in the morning and you were on HSN. Needless to say my birthday money is gone. I decided to use it on ME for a change. I purchased 10 items. Received them and they look and fit perfect. Money well spent.
Hi Antthony. Although my closets are bulging with Antthony creations I always watch for more. I love the cropped GAUCHOS that you brought us in the swirl animal print collection last Sept ‘09, and the solid black (92/8%) fabric. I wear these all the time with your tanks and jacket sets. Please bring us more SCARVES to tie everything together. Also, how about some groovy VESTS? Whatever you do DON’T STOP DESIGNING!

Bought your paisley and plaid printed skirt in the gold multi. Lovely, lovely, skirt. I did not like the gathered bottom on the top because I have a problem with that type of bottom since my waistline is high. I also bought your dazzling draped blouse in black and hope it will work with this skirt.

Just a thank you for several years of allowing me to dress and still feel wonderful in your clothes. Have lost about 80 lbs in the last few years and your tops still look great even though roomy that bustline of mine doesn’t want to go down yet. Am thrilled with the latest pieces Ive purchased also and can hardly believe they ever go on clearance. Obviously somebody missed knowing how beautiful they are on. Love some of the new fabrics you are now using and am on waitlist for the big flower top!
Please Antthony think of your vertically challenged customers! I saw several of your items I’d LOVE to purchase but when I look at the length and it’s 30 – 35 inches that’s to my knees or lower at 4′11 so I’m disappointed I can buy them they’d be WAY too long for me to wear to look appropriate but they’re beautiful and I really want them!
I think the first piece I purchased of yours was a lime green woven camp shirt that has zebra print sleeves and color. IT’S GORGEOUS!
Just “discovered” you on Sunday and was very impressed with your garments. However, I chose not to order most items from you that I wanted to buy because the inseams in the pants were too long. I’m 5′1″ and wear a 22 and it is vry difficult to find anything short enough to wear. The money I save on clothes, I spend on getting the hems taken up. I usually end up buying cargo pants because they are short, but would like to wear leggings. Could you make some clothes that fit us shorties? Thanks
I love most of your clothes and have a closet full, I noticed as of late you are using Rayon in your clothes and I wish you wouldn`t…as soft as it makes the clothes feel it clings to all the lumps and bumps and is most unbecoming for a plus size lady…so I hope you go back to your Poly, spandex…….got the new art Caftan and a couple of other tops this visit….can`t wait for them to come
