Bonjour from Paris!
I’m here in the city of lights with my husband, Carlos, celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary! I’m cherishing every moment and soaking in all the wonder that makes Paris such a spectacular city – the arts, the culture, the history, the food, the people and of course, the fashion!
The weather has been in the low to mid 50’s this week. Spring is in the air, but cooler temps make it a little tricky when getting dressed this time of year. It’s always interesting to see how Parisian women put their own unique twist on fashion. Whether walking down the Champs-Elysees or having lunch in a charming French Bistro, I can’t help but admire the effortless style of French women!
I’m feeling inspired to put some great looks together for my girlfriends back home. It doesn’t matter where you live; we all love pretty, new clothes and jewelry. Coming up on March 27th, I have four hours of my favorite fashion and jewelry picks for spring! Here are my five favorite fashion trends of the season. These are easy, flattering pieces that will have you looking chic all season long. Ooh la la!

Hi Coleen. Every time I see you I think of the time…years ago when you were auditioning for the host on what was it called then? It was in Plymouth,MN when the shopping channel began. I would bring in the girls from Lowthian Fashion School from the Foshay tower in Mpls. I was older…almost 30 with two children…and did end up showing fashions when the younger girls “forgot” to show up. Remember how young the staff of the show was back then? Happy Anniversary, I bought the leather and ponte suit (jacket and skirt) in both black and camel, what type of belt would you suggest and what style of jewelry? I have the malachite and pyrite (?) necklace by Deb Guyot. Lastly, how can I transition these suits into fall?
Hi Cancan! Thank you for the Anniversary wishes! I’m so excited you bought the leather/ponte knit outfits!!! For belts – I like black for the black jacket. Something with stretch is nice (works with the ponte back and leather front). For the camel I like a neutral/camel/nude belt to keep the look tonal. You could always add red or animal print to mix it up and add some color if you like.
The skirts are great with spring tops – try these pieces worn as separates. Cont…..
For transitioning your outfits for fall – easy – get our your boots! Tall boots or booties with tights look beautiful with these outfit! You can also add suede pumps in tonal colors or add a pop of color in your shoes, handbag, and jewelry. Hello Colleen. I love Paris too! It is my favorite city, so far! I want to ask if you could please get a ring box for big, tall statement rings? I purchased the ring box for large bands, but that wouldn’t work. I have big critter rings, that stand like an inch from the hand, and all the ring boxes I have don’t work, as they won’t close properly, as the rings are too tall. Please make a very deep ring box for the big rings that stand up high off the hand! Thanks! Karen from MN

I thought of you the other day as I strolled around the Place Vendome drooling over all of the beautiful window displays of the world’s most famous jewelers! I took lots of pictures!
