First & foremost, our utmost thoughts go out to all of those who were affected by the devastation Hurricane Sandy caused this past week in the Northeast. If there’s one thing our country has shown over the course of the past several years when it comes to acts of mother nature to this degree, it’s our ability to band together and help one another. This current situation will be no different.

Well friends, we’ve finally come to that proverbial bridge in the NFL season known as “Halftime.” After this weekend’s games, we will officially be at the midpoint of the 16 game regular season schedule. That said, I think we can all take a step back and take some time out to really assess what we’ve seen up to this point in the year.

Can you believe we’re already a quarter of the way through the NFL season? Seriously, time flies when you’re scoring obscene amounts of points one week after the next (we’re currently on pace to shatter the NFL record for points in a season by the way).

With Week 2 of the NFL season now in the books, it appears as if we have a nice little trend developing – there’s points being scored and they’re being scored in bunches. Through the first 2 weeks of the year, there has been over 1500 points registered – which for those scoring at home, is a NFL RECORD up to this point.

Wow – what a first week of NFL action, don’t’ you think? Over 70+ touchdowns scored, 5 teams scored over 40+ points, and 3 games were won on the team’s last possession of the game! If you’re a football fan, you couldn’t ask for anything more.
