Greetings from the Colorado Rockies!
I’ve been spending the past few days enjoying a little spring skiing in glorious Aspen! The weather has been amazing and it’s really true – when you’re on top of these cathedral mountains you really feel like you can touch the sun!
Everything about the serene beauty of Colorado makes me feel blessed and happy to be alive!

As I type you this blog….I’m reminded that it was one year ago in March that I discovered the most amazing necklace in a small boutique right here in Colorado. Yes, along with the great skiing – I always manage to find time for shopping (I tell my husband I’m doing market research!). I’m always drawn toward handmade, artful design….and when I discovered a unique, handmade necklace last year, it was love at first sight! I coudn’t wait to show the original necklace to my friends at Himalayan Gems – if anyone could make this beautiful piece for HSN, I knew the women of Nepal would be the ones to ask!
Here we are, almost one year later, about to launch this lovely hand made treasure as a Today’s Special! Not only did we change the design, but everything about Our necklace is even more beautiful than the original! It was a true labor of love and I will be forever grateful to the wonderful women of Nepal who dedicated over 11 months of their time and skill to create these wearable works of art for us!

You also asked about the colorblock tops – and you’re correct – the tops did not make it for the show. To be honest, the tops did arrive, but the quality was not to the standards of the original tops. I was very disappointed and will not be working with this manufacturer again! I am planning on bringing it back later in the season (from a new fabulous manufacturer!).

Colleen, I love all your designs and have two of the dress form necklace stands..love them so much and they are wonderful! I’m wondering if you can or are designing a traveling jewelry box? Those of us who travel need something that will contain safely a variety of jewelry from necklaces to rings. The ones offered on HSN don’t seem to meet that need. I need to be able to take it in my carry-on. I love your designs and would choose it over the others. Thanks for all you do for us.

I am disappointed yet again. The 51ct smokey quartz ring became available (again) and because the site and my computer acting afowl I missed out. I hope with all my might that this ring will be available again in the near future (the clear quartz as well). Please, please, please…pretty please with sugar on top.
Colleen, I love the Sajen jewelry collections. Can you bring back a couple of their sold out pieces? I am interested on the three headed rings you had with the tiger’s eye and the bone gemstones in size 6. I believe there were three Buddha heads in each ring. If you can’t bring them back, is there a way to get them from the designers themselves? Here’s thanking you in advance.
colleen i love the jewerly boxes but one with a few deep draws would be nice for cluffs or whatever but like 4 deep draws on top of each other. The stores may have these but without protection for silver and the people who make jewerly boxes don’t have just stacking draws that are tall enought to put big pieces in. Thanks for listening. I REALLY HOPE you bring back your pencil skirts but this time with a different style waistband and add the color WHITE along with the basic black. Even though I love my skirt, I find that the big belt loops are too thick for my tighter and thinner tops and it adds too much bulk around the middle. Would love the same skirt but with a lower and SLEEK waistband. One of the best skirts I have ever owned. Material is perfect! I think this change would cause many more people to purchase skirt.
