Welcome to my April 2009 blog for HSN! April 2009? Where did the time go? This month marks my official 14th Anniversary with HSN. When I first took my place on the set at the HSN – back then, the Home Shopping Club – studios in 1995, I never imagined I would be still on the job 14 years later! I am very lucky to love what I do. I am passionate about beauty products, and I am dedicated to you – the women and men who have made Serious Skin Care the success it is today.
Many of you have been with Serious Skin Care for as long as I have … like my own experience with the line – Serious Skin Care has grown and evolved with you. My skin care needs are vastly different as a 40-year-old mother of 3 than they were when I was 26 and single. What’s amazing is that Serious Skin Care’s vast product assortment offers the right regimen for any stage of life. In March, we spoke to many HSN customers LIVE during the shows. Several callers identified themselves as in their 60s and 70s … yet, we had several more callers state their ages as 25, 29, 32, etc … even in the posts on our past blogs, every stage of life – and every possible skin care need – is represented. Serious Skin Care is all about growing with you.
Some of you made your first purchase just yesterday. I want to welcome each of you to what I feel is the most progressive and exciting Skin Care line available. I want to hear from you on what was your favorite moment – or product – from the last 14 years. I have so many treasured moments, whether it was the embarrassing “spider dance” I did for Colleen Lopez several years ago; or the 24-hour remote broadcast from my house.
Together we have made so many great memories. I think what I will remember most is the experience of being pregnant with my three beautiful daughters and feeling all the love, support and well wishes from all of you – I was appearing so close to my due dates that I had Kathy Wolf’s doctor on-call in Tampa in case I were to deliver early. A girl needs to be prepared – you all see how excited I get during my shows!

Having just turned 53 and still searching for the perfect skin care product – your Replicate and Renew seems to be that product. Recently purchased the cream – works great, but also rec’d the concentrate in a combo with Creamerum, I have to say these two together are wonderful,can really feel my skin firming during the day. Also seeing a reduction in the nose-to-mouth lines, which has been my problem area for about the past year. Thank you for these products.
First of all, I really would like to say, you really were generous in your anniversary show. You expressed alot of graditude toward your customers. It was nice to see your expression of joy to your viewers as happy for them. I also wanted to ask if the olive oil shampoo and conditioner was going on sale anytime soon? I have to stock up.

Love all your products, but now that I’m over 50 I am seeing some sagging. I have tried the reverse lift but I still have extremely oily skin so I must be careful on using it on a regular basis as it is too rich for my skin. Please make a product for us older oily skin people! Thank you! and I hope your products keep coming!
I have been using SSC for about over 6 yrs now, I am 31 and am blessed with good aging genes. I LOVE everything, but I miss the a line classics, the a cream and the serum, they made my skin sooooo soft. I also love the clear kits for when i get a break out. I use a little bit of everything, and love to order your surprise boxes!! I get to try new stuff and find new staples for my medicine cabinet. I use other lines now and then, but always go back to SSC and always have mymainstays of the A line

OH I wish you could have seen my skin prior to using Replicate 7 Renew Face Cream & then the Serium! Wow what a differance. I thought it was just me but I just saw some folks I have not see for some time & they wanted to know if I had a face lift!!! . My son said I look younger & my daughter noticed a differance rite away! You have a wonderful product & I love it! When will you have a Replicate & Renew Eye Serum or Cream? I want it as soon as possible.

Jennifer: It’s so hard to pinpoint a favorite product, I’ve been with Serious Skin Care since you’ve been with Serious Skin Care! My first kit was a skin aid kit in the little red zip bag (which I STILL have and use!) and your gycolic cleanser and dry lo sold me for life. I grew with the line as it evolved – & as much as I love the c line overall C Extreme Results has got to be IT! Oh!! – & the OO Omega Serum is also another product with me 24/7! My best to CeCe, Serious John & everyone at SSC!!
Jennifer, I have a question about the vitamin A retinyl cream. Should that be used alone? I’ve heard you say retinyl doesn’t mix well with other ingredients. I layer most of your products but I’m not sure about this one. Thanks. Sue
Jennifer, I have been a SSC customer for 3 years and one of the reason I started using your product was a comment I heard on air concerning you & husbands support for our military troops being a US Navy Veteran you won my heart. I love all your products and was so haapy when I purchased the double of the todays special but the sample of the plant cell and the eye serium does not work. I wanted to buy the large size but I don’t know how it will work. Thanks Jennifer for all you do..Linda

I have been using Calstrom for about a month. Iam a 63 yr old lady, and live in Las Vegas. I bought calstrum because I thought it would be right for my skin. So far I have not seen any difference in my skin. Maybe you could recommend something else that would work better?

I purchased the Day & Night Today’s Special in January, & I love it! My skin feels so soft & smooth, and not greasy. I’m always afraid of skin care because I have oily skin, but I’m not oily with this kit. Please don’t discontinue it.
My teenage daughter has suffered with acne for years. She would get huge bumps on her face. She would often say her face looked like a pizza and try to cover it up with her hair. I tried proactive and it made it worse. Finally I used Continuously Clear and it worked. She was so happy and said my face is finally clear and beautiful. No more pizza face. Thanks
I am 75 and have been using very expensive creams. In one day your products that I bought over the weekend (your double special) have done only what the other products promised, but did not deliver. My skin looks beautiful and not greasy. Thank you
I am a new customer to serious skin care, I rember watching HSN and wanting to order the products but just could not bring my self to take the chance , so I broke down and ordered the olive skin care and liked it very much but was not use to using oils which were a little different, but for the winter it was great, then I ordered a make up kit love the minerals foundation and the other products that came with it , so now I am trying the C line and haver had it for two days and love it also.Thanx

I love your products. I need help. I am going through menaoause and my face is so oily that my makeup will not stay on for more than 2 hours. I’ve tried mineral as well as liquid foundation. I’ve tired moisturizers and primers with no luck. I even wear my mineral makeup alone and still no luck. What do you suggest. Also…I drink a lot water and eat healthy

Hi, Where is a Vitamin A kit? Or that line of products? I see everything but that. I love the kit that includes the goodnite cream, day cream with peptides in a tube with SPF 30 (we received 2 tubes last time), instatox, eye cream, etc. Please bring back the Vitamin A line of products, thank you.
Hi Jenn, I have a few questions, if you can take a minute to respond. I know that you can layer face serums, but how many is enough or will as many as you apply absorb? Also, can you layer eye serums or eye creams?? and I would assume that you can only apply 1 moisturizer. These questions are probably ones that many customers would like the answers for. I’ve tried several of the products over the years but always comed back to the acne line. I’m over 50 and still have trouble with breakouts! I now have both my daughters using the acne products….Serious Skincare is a part of our family skincare routine.
Everytime a new product comes out on the market, you better believe I buy it to see if the myth will become a reality. I have so many products in my home, it looks like I am employed as a product tester. If someone runs out something, I have a spare. No mascara, including the new ones touting sky high lengths, comes close to The Mascara. I don’t know what’s in your mascara but my lashes are amazing, long and thick. Hi Jennifer, I purchased the Serious Skin Care C-No Wrinkles skin kit and I never want to be without these products again. I have tried so many different skin care lines over the years but I have to tell you I have never seen such quick results. My skin has not looked this good in years!!! Incredible! 14 years for your HSN anniversary—boy if only I knew you then!! I’ve only been using your products for about 7 months and I look great and feel great. I might look 20 years younger if I had used your products from the beginning. Instead I look 10 years younger—I will certainly take that though. Your replicate and renew is the best ever and I look forward to your newest and latest products with your continued visits to HSN. Thank you for making me feel good about myself and deserve it!
Co Q 10 absorbs quickly. The skin candenscence is another hit. The Olive oil is the best lotion I have ever tried, my handles feel supple, my feet stay feeling soft the next morning they are still very soft. The squalene believe or not made my nails grow! I am glad she came up with a serum for the plant stem cells. My oily face did not do good with the cream but the serum is a hit! It is so nice to enjoy all of these products for such reasonable prices. It is a blessing, thanks Jennifer!
Jennifer, Thank you for making great products!You are SO FAB!!-My favorite moment for you is anytime you are on HSN to present SSC. You are personable, REAL, a sister, a women, a friend- someone I feel comfortable with & trust to buy from. I am turning 39 this year, and have always been told I look younger- like 29/30- and I attribute that to SSC!!! I combine the A & C lines, & LOVE instatox!! I am trying the new Anniversary Kit.
