After Tucson

Well here I sit in Vancouver, Canada, waiting for my flight overseas. Times like this I wonder what I could have been thinking when I booked this trip. It just dawned on me this morning the Winter Olympics just happen to be going on. This has made for long lines and lots of full fights.
Our group has survived Tucson and points west for now, and all we have to do is tie up all the loose ends and get our rough materials gathered up and shipped. Everyone is very busy working on new designs and planning out our next shows. This is always fun with just enough stress put into the mix to make it interesting. I have to say I’m truly excited about all the new Mine Finds we have obtained, plus some of the wonderful new rough materials we have put together over the past couple of months on the road. It’s truly been an adventure and I can’t wait to share the fruits of our labor of love with everyone. By the time I get to my first destination I will have been on a plane for twenty-two hours and a day and a half travel time, but it’s truly worth it because I get to visit some new friends from down under that we meet in Tucson. They have many new quality materials direct from the mines, so I can’t wait to start sorting through them. So with backpack in hand, and some good sturdy hiking boots; I take off on my next little adventure. I’ve really enjoyed reading your thoughts on the blog and of course all the new ideas and requests. I never get tired of new ideas or just the general knowledge and feedback I’ve been receiving. I want to thank everyone for their time and also let everybody know I want to be able to answer the blog questions and comments in a timely fashion. But with a very tight travel schedule at times it makes it harder. Please rest assured everyone is very important to us and I will get back with you as soon as I can. Hi Jay- A while ago I bought the beautiful petrified wood star necklace, and of course, didn’t get the earrings that match. The opalized p. wood earrings look a little more orange in color, where the star pendant and matching beads are more of a flat tan tone. Do you think the opalized earrings will match? Is there any way to get a pair that will match my necklace? Thanks-I am a big fan of your jewelry!

It’s Marianne from Illinois. I have been trying for over a year now to get one of those amethyst necklaces with the charoite pendant that they sneak in every so often. It has beautiful symmetry and is very classic. Is there any possibility that it will be coming back? Everytime it appears, it seems to be snapped up in a minute. Seems to me like there are many other out there that would like to see it as well. Happy trails …

Glad to know you are bringing the lapis bowl in May…..have you considered mixing lapis and turquoise into a bowl, too? Also, why does the silver in your pieces say CHINA ? Do you outsource the work there?? Lastly, I’ve been buying your items all the years you have been showing on HSN…..can you do more with malachite, lepidolite, charoite, and mixing long necklaces of malachite, coral, turquoise, yellow jasper, amethyst?We all need a book on these gems from you!!

Malachite, Malachite, Malachite! Gorgeous green Malachite! Hi Jay. Any chance you could bring us a beautiful, substantial Malachite necklace in the longer length (22 or 24 inches in sterling silver) for Christmas, 2010? Please add plenty of Malachite stones and less sterling extender. I would love to see a big extender and earrings. So many of your pieces just aren’t long enough for me. Please offer a larger size. Thank you for the beautiful treasures you bring us! However, I’m having a problem w/the shorter lengths; many of which are under 20in. Have you ever considered offering the necklaces in two sizes? One shorter or under 19in. and one larger size in 22in.? Please add more stones to the larger necklaces. I’m sure many ladies would pay more for a longer necklace especially the waterfall necklaces. Hi Jay, I love the Persian Agate Necklace that I received and hope you do more with the banded agates. Would love to see some Botswanna Agates mixed in with some silver beads. Actually would like to see more bead necklaces with silver beads inter mixed to give a new look. Another request is for some more necklaces with Mookaite. Great colors and never can get enough of it. Hi Jay. Love your jewelry and have been purchasing since you first started with HSN. I remember your first broadcast. You have come a long way since then. I do have a suggestion. In the winter and spring I wear jackets with everything. Any chance that you can make a pendant that is also a pin that can be worn on the lapel? And, since I have been to Arizona, have fallen in love with the pottery. Any chance that these can be offered sometime as well?

Love your pieces. I agree that additional drops should be made for the TS earring. I think that coral and tiger’s eye would also be stunning. Will you be making any necklace sets that are turquiose and tiger’s eye combined in the future. You had one that I missed out on.
Hi Jay. I have been buying your beautiful jewelry for many years. In fact, I had to buy Colleens cases to help hold the jewelry. I have an earring that has lost it silver pin. (The part that goes through the ear). How can I get it repaired so I can enjoy wearing them again?

I have always been a ring person but now have arthritis in my hands and can only wear rings that are adjustable to be able to get them over my knuckles and still fit my finger. Your creations are beautiful and I would love to wear them. Please consider making adjustable rings.
